S+Finmetrics cointegration functions
Dear all,
S+Finmetrics has a number of very specilised functions. I am
particularly interested in the estimation of cointegrated VARs (chapter
12 of Zivot and Wang). In this context the functions coint() and
VECM() stand out. I looked at package "dse1", but found no comparable
functionality. Are there any other packages you could point me to? In
general, are there efforts for

cointegrating regression
Hi all,
Can I run a cointegrating regression, for example
delta Xt=a1(Yt-1-cXt-1)+E1t
and
delta Yt=-b1(Yt-1-cXt-1)+E2t
with R were
Xt and Yt are non stationary time series at t
a,b,c are parameters and E1t and E2t are error terms at t.
Yt-Xt is stationary
Any suggestions are welcome.

Cointegration and ECM in Package {urca}
Dear R Core Team,
I am using package {urca} to do cointegration and estimate ECM model,
but I have the following two problems:
(1) I use ca.jo() to do cointegration first and can get the
cointegration rank, alpha and beta. The next step is to test some
restrictions on beta with blrtest(),bh5lrtest(), and bh6lrtest(). But
none of them can add restrictions on all the cointegration

I am struggling to understand the johansen test procedure in the context of co-integration in time series. Yes I understand that this forum is not directly statistics related but still I am posting here hoping that I would get som help.

cointegration analysis
Hello,
I tried to use urca package (R) for cointegration analysis. The data
matrix to be investigated for cointegration contains 8 columns
(variables). Both procedures, Phillips & Ouliaris test and Johansen's
procedures give errors ("error in evaluating the argument 'object' in
selecting a method for function 'summary'" respectiv "too many
variables,

Modified Sims test
Does anyone know of a package that includes the Modified Sims test
[Gewerke, 1983, Sims, 1972]?
This test is used in econometrics and is a kind of alternative to the
Granger test [Granger, 1969], which is in the package lmtest.

Time Series DGPs
I was wondering if anyone had some sample time series dgp code. I am
particularly interested in examples of autoregressive processes and
error correction model DGPs. I have attached a more specific example
of what I mean. I have tried myself but would hoping someone had some
more elegant code that would help me extend my own code.

VAR question
Hi all,
I got another VAR question here and really appreciate if somebody would help me out :)
I have five time series, say A,B,C,D,E. My objective is to predict the series A using the rest, that is, B, C, D and E. A Vector Autoregression Model should work here. But first of all, I should select which series of B, C, D and E to be include in the VAR model, as well as the number of lags. I wonder

Dear all,
I have a question. How to get the standard errors of alpha and beta
when using "ca.jo" to test cointergration?
In the paper by Bernhard Pfaff and Kronberg im Taunus “VAR, SVAR and SVEC
Models: Implementation Within R Package” pp.24-25. The standard errors are

Automatically extract info from Granger causality output

this is my first programming in R and I am stuck with a problem. I

Your example is incomplete... as the bottom of this and every post says, we need to be able to proceed from an empty R environment to wherever you are having the problem (reproducible), in as few steps as possible (minimal). Multivariate Granger Causality Tests
Dear Community,
For my masters thesis I need to perform a multivariate granger causality
test. I have found a code for bivariate testing on this page
(http://www.econ.uiuc.edu/~econ472/granger.R.txt), which I think would not
be useful for the multivariate case. Does anybody know a code for a
