Flag file management techniques using rsync
G'day, I am just getting into rsync and have been very impressed with performance and reliability. There is one thing I haven't worked out how to do yet and I haven't found much with several Google sessions or by way of consulting the examples. I am looking for a way to check for (or duplicate) single flag files to and from a remote host (without any dummy spit errors when it is not

BT ISDN-30 Pri getting 'stuck' on outgoing calls.
I've having problems with a BT 2 span ISDN-30/Digium TE205P asterisk setup with outgoing calls not completing and requiring an Asterisk reset to 'unstick' span 1. Sorry this is a bit long but I'm completely out of my depth :-( This system has been in use for some while and I recently upgraded it to asterisk 1.4.24, zaptel 1.4.11 and libpri 1.4.9. I didn't change

Understanding of ldd header allocation
Hello, I am currently switching to ldd from ld.bfd on a cross-platform embedded project and am facing a behaviour difference when using the same linker scripts with ld.bfd and ldd. Could anybody please give me a more reliable direction I should go with to get the same behaviour from both of the linkers? Target binary format is a 32-bit ELF executable, which is expected to consist of a single RWX

[lld] [arm] Linker Cannot Set Custom Section Type to NOBITS
I am linking a program to be loaded in an ARM Cortex-M0+ based microcontroller. In the linker script, I have a section allocated for the stack which roughly looks like the following. .stack : { . += __stack_size__; } > ram Using the linker in the gcc arm toolchain, arm-none-eabi-ld, this section is automatically set to type NOBITS, however, when linking with version 10.0.0 of ld.lld, the

strange behaviour with seen/unseen messages in virtual folders.
Hi, I've a virtual folder that contains unseen messages. When I mark the message and expunge the folder, the message should disappear. This works as expected in alpine. Alpine uses the following commands: 06000010 STORE 1 +Flags (\SEEN) 06000020 EXPUNGE Using roundcube mail, the message wont disappear, when I perform the same steps. RoundCube Mails sends: flg UID STORE 445 +FLAGS

Need info on vnet mapping to guests
Hello: I have a host running two KVM guests. The guests use br0 and each has a static IP address. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to use snmpd on the host to measure the traffic usage of the guests. I do not want to require anything running on the guests since I do not control them. Looking at netstat -in on the host, I see this info: Kernel Interface table Iface MTU Met

Likely mem leak in 3.7
Starting with 3.7 rc1, my workstation seems to loose ram. Up until (and including) 3.6, used-(buffers+cached) was roughly the same as sum(rss) (taking shared into account). Now there is an approx 6G gap. When the box first starts, it is clearly less swappy than with <= 3.6; I can''t tell whether that is related. The reduced swappiness persists. It seems to get worse when I update

Sweave function
Dear list, I have a question about the interaction between R code and Latex language trough the Sweave function in the package "utils". What I'm trying to do is to write a report. Contrary to the examples shown in the Sweave Manual in which table already constructed by R are "exported" on Latex files, what I would like to do is to build a table in which I combine text and

joint estimation of two poisson equations
Dear list members, Is there a package somewhere for jointly estimating two poisson processes? I think the closest I've come is using the "SUR" option in the Zelig package (see below), but when I try the "poisson" option instead of the "SUR" optioin I get an error (error given below, and indeed, reading the documentation of the Zelig package, I get the impression
