SQLite concurrency, SQLite3::BusyException
I am currently experiencing concurrency issues after moving from MySQL
to SQLite.
My original program worked fined using MySQL but is now returning
"SQLite3::BusyException" errors. The same result happens whether or
not I enable the allow_concurrency flag.
If I do manually acquire a lock on the SQLite DB the problem would
disapear, but I thought that rails was supposed to handle this

[LLVMdev] Adding SQLite3 to llvm test-suite
Hi,
SQLite3 has a very simple build system, and it comes with an extensive
testsuite (over 40000 tests).
It hasn't shown any bugs in LLVM, but it is fairly simple to build [even
turn off features via -D], and can be CPU intensive.
I have integrated SQLite3 into llvm-test's build system, it is too large
to send as attachment (784K), you can get it from here:

Hi,

It uses sqlite3 and is not heavily tested, but it works quite fine here.
Have fun!

Importing csv file with character values into sqlite3 and subsequent problem in R / RSQLite
Dear all,
I'm trying to import a csv file into sqlite3 and from there into
R. Everything looks fine exepct that R outputs the character values in
an odd fashion: they are shown as "\"CHARACTER\"" instead of
"CHARACTER", but only if I show the character variable as a
vector. Does someone know why this happens? Below is a sample
code. The first part is written in

SQLite3 + RAM drive => 3 times faster unit tests
One problem I sort of always had with the ActiveRecord''s tight coupling
to the SQL backend is how slow it makes the unit tests. OK, there are
some ways to make it faster at a price of extra complexity (reusing the
fixtures, doing a rollback in the end of the test, etc), but still - it
is much slower than what I would like a unit test to be.
Today I had a very simple idea (why, oh why

sqlite3 and rspec_on_rails tests
As I think I previously mentioned, there is an incompatibility with
rails 1.2.1 and sqlite3 3.3.8.
see: http://weblog.rubyonrails.org/2007/1/29/using-sqlite3-with-rails
and: http://weblog.rubyonrails.org/2007/2/6/rails-1-2-2-sqlite3-gems-

Sqlite is now at 3.3.13.
Because of this, if a developer is trying to create a patch for
rspec_on_rails, he will have one of the

Proper use of the where method om ActiveRecord.

Problems with SQLite3
Hi!
I''ve got a very strange problem. Suddenly the SQLite3 Backend stopped
working.
Example 1:
> rake db:rollback
== CreateProducts: reverting
=================================================
-- drop_table(:products)
rake aborted!
An error has occurred, this and all later migrations canceled:
SQLite3::SQLException: near "CASCADE": syntax error: DROP TABLE

[LLVMdev] Adding SQLite3 to llvm test-suite
Hi Edwin,
It works fine for me. Thanks!
We prefer a flat directory structure. Is it possible for you to
separate it out to sqlite3 and lemon rather than having them as sub-
directories under SQLite? Also, can you increase lemon's test size?
Please file bug about the performance issue. Thanks!
