[PATCH 1/1] Xen PV support for hugepages
This is the latest version of a patch that adds hugepage support to the Xen hypervisor in a PV environment. It is against the latest xen-unstable tree on xenbits.xensource.com. I believe this version addresses the comments made about the previous version of the patch. Hugepage support must be enabled via the hypervisor command line option "allowhugepage". It assumes the guest

Walking an HVM''s shadow page tables and other memory management questions.
Hello, I''m new to Xen and especially to the hypervisor code. I''m working off a 3.0.4.1 base and have the following questions regarding the memory management code for an x86, 32-bit platform (capable of supporting PAE). I''m doing some research into providing grant table hypercall support from a Windows 2003 HVM. I have made all the necessary changes to allow the

About revoke write access of all the shadows
Hi all, Recently, I read codes about the shadow page table. I''m wondering whether the kernel has provided the function to revoke write access of all the shadows of one domain. If you know one with this function, please tell me about it. Thanks. BTW, I have my own idea to implement this. My idea is as follows: void sh_revoke_write_access_all(struct domain *d) {

multi-isp and preventing certain traffic on a given connection
I have a multi-isp configuration: CGCO 1 256 main $CGCOIF detect track,balance br-lan,tun0 IGS 2 512 main $IGSIF detect track,fallback br-lan,tun0 where I force SMTP out one of the connections: 512:P br-lan - tcp 25 But the effect of that of course is that if IGS goes down, SMTP will leak out of the CGCO connection. How can I prevent that? Cheers, b.

[patch/unstable] page table cleanups
Hi, In many places xen uses "unsigned long" instead of the l*_pgentry_t types to pass around page table entries. Here is a patch which fixes this in a number of places (mostly in shadow mode code). Thats what I''ve trapped in so far, maybe more of these patches follow. Fixing this is needed for adding PAE support to xen. In PAE paging mode the page table entries are 64 bit

The interpretation of lm(y~x)?
Hi, I am reading the book "Mixed Effects Models in S and S-Plus" and come across an example with the Rail data. I tried to use lm(travel~Rail,data=Rail) and got the following result: Call: lm(formula = travel ~ Rail, data = Rail) Residuals: Min 1Q Median 3Q Max -6.6667 -1.0000 0.1667 1.0000 6.3333 Coefficients: Estimate Std. Icecast 1.3.12 hangs: Problems with a big number of sources?
Hi! I work for the University of Dortmund in germany where we use icecast as a server for DGPS data (see http://igs.ifag.de/index_ntrip.htm for more information). We took icecast version 1.3.12 and adapted it to our needs: - low data rates of 50 and 500 bytes/sec - up to 150 source streams - no meta data Our operating system is Red Hat Linux 8.0. Under these circumstances and after variable

GAM and AIC: How can I do??? please
Hello, I'm a Korean researcher who have been started to learn the "R" package. I want to make gam model and AIC value of the model to compare several models. I did the GAM model, but there were error for AIC. SO, how can I do? pleas help me!!! I did like below; > a.fit <- gam(pi~ s(t1r), family = gaussian(link="log")) >

partial correlation
Hej! I have the following problem: I would like to do partial correlations on non-parametric data. I checked "pcor" (Computes the partial correlation between two variables given a set of other variables) but I do not know how to change to a Spearman Rank Correlation method [pcor(c("BCDNA","ImProd","A365"),var(PCor))] Here''s a glimpse of

Relative risk using GAM
I am a new user of R. I am trying to fit gam model with our air pollution data. I used Foreign package to call data from SPSS and used MGCV package to fit gam. The following are the steps I used: > dust<- read.spss("a:dust9600jan.sav") > c<-gam(MRESPALL~s(DUSTM)+s(TEMP)+s(RH),family=poisson,data=dust) > summary(c) Family: poisson Link function: log Formula: MRESPALL ~

Accessing elements of plm outputs
Dear all, I've just migrated from STATA to R for runing panel regressions and I was very happy to discover the plm package. However, I have a problem when trying to access the "Total Sum of Squares" and "Residual Sum of Squares" on this output: > summary(output) Oneway (individual) effect Within Model Call: plm(formula = Y ~ X1 + X2, data = db, model =

x86-64''s paging_init()
While adding code to create the compatibility p2m table mappings it seemed to me that the creation of the native ones is restricted to memory below the 512G boundary - otherwise, additional L2 tables would need to be allocated (currently other memory following the one L2 page getting allocated would be blindly overwritten). While I realize that machines this big aren''t likely to be

Very strange ACL issue
Hello, I upgraded from Samba 3.0.2 to 3.0.4 on my Redhat Enterprise system and am now seeing something very strange with POSIX ACL?s. We have several shared directories setup with per-directory group permissions (In other words each directory has its own group in active directory). This way if we want to give a user access to a directory we just add them to the group. After upgrading too 3.0.4
