last.warning and function problem
Hello, I am a newbie in R and I am trying to create a function, that includes several functions inside. To avoid that everything stops if there is an error, I have this statement bla = function(....){ ... if(exists("last.warning")){rm(last.warning)} ... } inside the function, which if I use it normally, it works fine, but once I use it with the funciotn it gives me an error like:

Lattice graphs: lines, symbols and strips
Dear collegue, I have some questions about lattice graphs: 1. How can I introduce different lines in different graphs, from the same page? For example, in the upper row of graphs, I would like to have a line at 0.5, in the middle one at 0.3, and in the lower at 0.1. I am using panel.abline, but I can only make it appear in all the graphs, not in some of tham only... 2. Is it possible that the

R version 2.01.1, Crimson Editor and the "one" from nowhere
Dear List.... sorry to bother you R-gurus with such an "unstatistical" question... but I face a problem using Crimson Editor with R 2.01.1 that I never had using R 2.00.1. I already posted on the Crimson Editor forum but it seems to be VERY few R-users there.... I successfully used R v2.00.1until now (under Windows XP professionnal, version 2002, Service Pack 2, P4 processor CPU 1.8

SPAM-LOW: Re: .Call files do not seem to wo rk
If you are using Windows to generate the .call files, make sure they are in Unix format (LF only at EOL, not CR+LF) - Notepad makes bad Unix files. Use Crimson Editor www.crimsoneditor.com to make the file, and click Document > File Format > Unix Format. I ran into this same problem, and it turns out my Asterisk install would not use Windows-formatted text files, it would just ignore them

good editor for R sources ?
Dear all, (Sorry if the question has already been answered.) Could someone please suggest a good text editor for writing R sources ? (I know emacs exists ... but I find it a bit heavy). I use crimson (http://www.crimsoneditor.com) which is small and simple, but the R syntax seems not to be supported. Thanks for any advice

SPAM-LOW: Re: .Call files do not seem to wo rk
The only other thing that comes to mind is that .call files are very sensitive to whitespace; you may have unintentially padded the .call file with whitespace or tabs that it does not like. The attached .call file works on my 1.0.9 server. Maybe it can give you some insight. -----Original Message----- From: Lee [mailto:lee@datatrakpos.com] Sent: Tuesday, December 19, 2006 2:45 PM To: Asterisk

spreadsheet data import
Hi colleages! I want to import data from ms-excel and other spreadsheet formats (lotus, etc). Does exist any way to do it within R? The main problem is that many spreadsheet data use comma as decimal separator and not the point as needed in R (and many software for Linux), so importing data first as a tab separated values does not solve this problem. Thanks, Tom?s Revilla

CentOS-6.0 and LXC
Hi Guys. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I would like to get into LXC and evaluate its usefulness compared with Linux-VServer. I notice that LXC is in tech preview upstream, however I am at a dead end trying to figure out how to get started. I cannot find any usertools in the rpm's that ship with CentOS 6. Is this because the tech preview requires me to get the tools

chan_isdn with HFC-compatible
hi list, I'm currently trying to get Asterisk running with an HFC-compatible ISDN card (no-name product, but supposed to work with Asterisk according to the packaging). the ISDN-card is connected to a alcatel ISDN-system where it should act just like a normal ISDN-phone. I went with http://www.misdn.org/index.php/MISDN_with_Asterisk and installed the package from beronet.com including:

Solaris - Samba - AD
Hello folks. I'm new to the list and I have questions about Samba. I have been able to configure Samba 3.x on Solaris 9 with AD authentication for the users. I'm able to mount the shares onto Windows XP clients and able to read the files. Now, if I use a text editor like notepad or GVIM to save an existing file, it saves it. When I try to use Word, Eclipse, or Crimson Editor, it

floppy image issues
Hi! sorry for the top post. I have had some troubles in the past trying to make equipment to boot a floppy with MS-DOS that also used ms networking to access the network. Particularly the Gateway GSX 500 cannot have the onboard NIC with PXE enabled, as it eats about 92k of highmemory, which in turn makes impossible to start Windows XP setup due to low memory. On that particular machine I had

join columns
Dear R-help, I wonder if you could give me some suggestions in how to do a union join of two data frames as follow: -> union join the common column, and insert a 0 if one is missing. I made a function to perform the following, and I know it may not that quite welly written, but it works. Any suggestions are welcome, many thanks. Anthony > q1 =

installing a flopy prog with no floppy drive
I am trying to get a programmable database working, and what I see as the only solution is a prog like access via wine. The problem is my computer that I wish to install it on has no floppy drive, and this copy (the first version?) comes with about 10 floppies. -- John R. Sowden AMERICAN SENTRY SYSTEMS, INC.
