Hello, when using: rm(list=ls(all=TRUE)) and gc() command , and looking at the memory used by Rgui.exe in window2000 there is no change. this is strange . Actually I need to be sure that memory is given back to the system because the users of the application I wrote under R are opening and closing big files of data; can I rely on the gc() function under win2k?
