any plot ?
Dear R-ers:
I'm sorry to disturb you, I want just ask if R can plot a given
complicated density function. I mean if we have the expression of the
density en we want to see how it's look like? and this is a density
with two variables thus it's a 3D plot
Thank you very much

I work on
the probabilities of bivariate normal distribution. I need

7.44 and - ∞ ≤ y ≤ 1.44 , either software R or matlab Version R 2009a

Bivariate Ripley K function
Hello,
I have used the univariate Ripley K function in R, but does anyone know if
there is a bivariate function built in? I have two species that I am dealing
with.
Also, how might I add error bars into the graphs (univariate and/or
bivariate)?
Thank you,

Climate Spatial plot
Dear Sir,
I am beginner in using R. I am working on climate and like to plot spatial
but I can't able to go ahead. I know it is too simply but not for me. Here
is attached the data and my sample script. I am waiting R-users to solve my
problem. Your help is valuable for me. Thank you.

WINS problem discovered and fixed!! browsing speedup of 20X for large networks
Ok, after several months of pulling my hair out I finally fixed WINS and
browsing at out Univesity. It ended up being an acutal bug, er bad code
segment. To explain we have a large number of clients ~1000+ at any one
time over 6 subnets. Browsing was spuratic at best. nmbd sucked up %70
of the proccessing power of a sparc 5. Well after serious investigation
I traced it down to two lines of

T-Distribution
Dear sir,
I would ask if there are in R some code to generate a random sample
from a mvariate student distribution like that one wich generate the
multivariate normal one i mean( rmvnorm(n, mu, sigma)
Second question : if R can plot density 3Dcurve I don't mean de
histogram but de hole density function(normal for example).
I use a windows version of The R software
Thank you in advance

R-gui
I discover last week the R software statistics programm, I have a small
questions, When we generate a bivariate normal distribution is it
possible to plot the generate distribution.
The second one if there is a code to generate a bivariate student
distribution.
If yes i would ask you gratefully a help.
Thank you very much

[libvirt] virDomainMemoryStats call
Hi,
Is the array mstats returned by virDomainMemoryStats call cummulative or snapshot of the counter at that particular time ? I was of the opinion that is cummulative like the /proc counters but this counter seems to go backwards ie next snapshot value is less than the current one which makes me think these are snapshot values . I'm using RHEL 6.3 libvirt version 0.9.10.

Ternary plot and filled contour
Dear R-Users, I'd like to have some tips for a ternaryplot ("vcd").
I have this dataframe:
a<- c (0.1, 0.5, 0.5, 0.6, 0.2, 0, 0, 0.004166667, 0.45) b<- c (0.75,0.5,0,0.1,0.2,0.951612903,0.918103448,0.7875,0.45) c<- c (0.15,0,0.5,0.3,0.6,0.048387097,0.081896552,0.208333333,0.1) d<- c (500,2324.90,2551.44,1244.50, 551.22,-644.20,-377.17,-100, 2493.04)

Information on Asterisk 1.4-beta 3 and ARA
Hi everyone, I'm working with Asterisk 1.4-beta3 and ARA for my Univesity
thesis, to enable jingle support into an administrative framework for
asterisk developed in our lab. It's possible to map jabber's and gtalk's
user from the ARA database, as I have already done with sip and iax users? I
need to know what family I must map to my database (such as iaxusers,
sipusers... etc) to

locking question
We're running dovecot 2.3.10 on two different servers (two different
environments). Both very similarly configured (sendmail and procmail
for mail delivery); same OS and patch levels. One environment has
nearly 10,000 users and hasn't seen problems. The other environment has
just a handful of users, but one user is very active with email and has
a fairly complicated procmail

Dahdi_dummy is more accurate than core timer?
Hi,
I have some servers that are dedicated to do meetme conferencing. From
some previous test i concluded that I need to use dahdi_dummy as it is
more accurate.
If I did use the core timers in dahdi (not loading dahdi_dummy) I got
bad quality in the conferences and dahdi_test showed 99.6% as worst.
I thought maybe the issue as bad hardware for the timing or something
else. But today I

Confidence Band for empirical distribution function
Hi,
I was trying to draw an empirical distribution function with uniform
confidence bands. So I tried to find a way to calculate values of the
Kolmogorov-Smirnov Distribution but failed.
I guess it must be hidden somewhere (since the ks-test is implemented),
but I was unable to find it.
Is there any way to do this?
Thanks

ternary contour plot
Colin,
If your propose is to create a ternary plot with points and vectors, I think easier do this with graphics based plots instead of trellis based plots. Although, with little work you can do with trellis too. I gave you a reproducible code to put an arrow in a ternary plot. I use the function locator() to extract coordinates. The code is the following

How to count from larger value to smaller value in ecdf (Empirical Cumulative Distribution Function)
Hi, all
ecdf function (Empirical Cumulative Distribution Function) in "stats"
package counts from smaller values to larger values.
However, I want to draw it by counting from larger value to smaller values
and I couldn't find options for this purpose.
How can I draw ecdf or ecdf like graph by counting from larger values to
smaller values.
Thank you in advance.
