A new snapshot
Hi, I have released a new snapshot of GnuPG, I hope this is one of the last ones before 1.0.2 ;-) This is still a BETA VERSION and not intended for general use. ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/pub/gcrypt/devel/gnupg-1.0.1e.tar.gz (1600k) The usual diff file is also available, but this time there is only a detached signature for this diff file, because I noticed to late that the --not-dash-escaped option

some problems with r 1.5.0 on win2k
That was the solution. Perhaps it is worth mentioning in the INSTALL file. Garfield Brown wrote: >>1. BLAS / LAPACK version information from within R-session?
Hi, for diagnostic purposes, I would like to get information about the BLAS / LAPACK linked against R from within an R-session. An obvious application could be safety-checks for packages like Matrix and quantreg at load / attach - time. Also you could be more precise on the "framework" in which R is running for comparable benchmark timings on different systems. Perhaps this

How to make a subdirectory in a lit test?
Yeah, the llvm-ar tests are working on Windows. But I'm getting different results when I try to use the same commands in an LLDB lit test. Maybe there's something messed up in LLDB's local lit config? If I have `mkdir %t/subdir` in my lit test, I get either file-not-found or a complaint about "unrecognized option /subdir." The one-and-only mkdir on my PATH is

rsync bugs
I may be nuts, but... I would appear that rsync is not setting the exit code properly when it fails. Below are 2 cases where that seems obvious, the line with the '0' after the output is 'echo $?' from bash -- aka the exit code for the last command. Let me know if these are bugs, or I need to somehow get around these situations. Nic >>> starting rsync with

How to make a subdirectory in a lit test?
I'm writing a lit test that needs to temporarily make a subdirectory. I tried: ``` // RUN: mkdir %t/subdir ``` But on Windows, it's hard to bypass the built-in mkdir to use a Posix-style one from Git or GnuWin. The built-in mkdir believes the `/subdir` is an unrecognized command flag. I figure I cannot just use a backslash because that would fail on Posix systems. (The test should

ext3 blocks other with large writes
Hi there, First of all thanks for all the ext3 development! I run it on my laptop and it has saved me many times from lengthy fscks :-) However, I have observed that whenever something is doing a lot of writing to an ext3 filesystem other processes that involves I/O on the same disk are blocked for long times (often in the 10-30 secs range). For example, if I cp a 1.5 Gb file from one ext3

Question about levels/as.numeric
Hi, I am still new to R and this is my first post on this mailing-list. I have two .csv (each one being a column of real numbers) coming from the same database (the first one is just longer than the second) and I read them in R the following way: returns <- read.csv("test.csv", header = FALSE) returns2 <- read.csv("test2.csv", header = FALSE) However, the two

I posted the following a little earlier on the quantian-announce list -- but it may be of interest here as well as this version contains all (but three, see below) packages from CRAN, and all of BioConductor. Quantian strives to provide the easiest way to set up a very complete scientific computing environment with a wide variety of tools -- including R, ESS, Ggobi, almost all of CRAN, all of

rpm question
Hi everyone, I am writing a small tool that will compare a file on my machine with the the same file on an rpm repository and then give me a diff. E.g. # rpm-file-diff /etc/samba/smb.conf will show a diff output so that I can see at a glance what changes I have made to my local smb.conf file. I already know about rpmdiff but that compares whole packages and not files. Anyway while fiddling

cdrom driver load attempt at boot
Hi there, I've been using ext3 on RedHat 7.1 for some time and I'm very pleased with the result. Thanks for all the hard work people have put in it! I have however one problem: when the machine boots up it tries to load the mcd and mcdx CD-ROM drivers (AFAIK they are old non-standard CD-ROMs). It does this from rc.sysinit right after loading usb devices. The machine started to do
