Undefined reference in R-1.5.1 under Mac OS X 10.2.1 Jaguar
Hi
I installed R-1.5.1 on a Mac G4 under OS X 10.2.1 Jaguar, which
requires X11.
Then I got this while trying to run XDarwin I downloaded from Fink:

RAqua with X11 TclTk
I've built a version of RAqua that uses X11 TclTk and NOT AquaTclTk.
http://www.economia.unimi.it/R/RAquaX11.dmg (15 MB disk image)
The idea is that you: launch RAqua, launch X application (the X
Server), and from inside R type
x11() # just tt set DISPLAY to :0.0. Eventually close this window
device, we don't need this.
load(tcltk)
quartz()

It works on my Panther

R crashes in Mac OS 10.4 when Find is used (PR#9192)
Full_Name: Matt Fantle

Submission from: (NULL) (128.118.174.213)
Problem: R crashes when 'Command-f' is pressed to begin "Find"
Frequency: This problem is intermittant. Once R crashes, the only solution is
to restart R and try to Find again. There is no regularity to the problem. If
R is opened by double-clicking on a ".R" file,

R 1.5.0 on Jaguar?
It seems that someone was having trouble compiling R under Mac OS X 10.2,
but I'm wondering if anyone is running the version available from
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/math_science/rformacintosh.html under
OS X 10.2. This is important because I'm about to take delivery of a new
Power Mac running 10.2!

segmentation fault with Hmisc areg.boot(): Now acepack avas failure
Hi Folks,
Mac OS 10.4.4
R 2.2.1(2005-12-20 r36812)
Hmisc 3.0-10
acepack 1.3-2.2
I had R crashes while running areg.boot in Hmisc (see old message
below), but now I realize that the problem appears to be in the avas
function in acepack. I tried running running the avas example (in
acepack package), and got an immediate crash.
Any thoughts? The Apple crash report (from R GUI crash) follows.

Rpy2 and Mac OS X 10.8.3
I am having a strange problem. I have been using python + rpy2 on my Mac
for quite sometime now. I recently upgraded to OS X 10.8 from 10.6 and
that's when the problem began.
Now, when I try to load some R packages (like zoo) using robjects.r, python
crashes with seg fault 11. Here's an example below:
>> import rpy2.robjects as ro

Building r-devel on Panther
I did:
./configure --with-blas='-framework vecLib' --with-lapack --with-aqua

Everything seems to be OK (some warnings about multiple definitions of
some symbols). However:
bass$ /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources/bin/R
Fatal error: unable to open the base package
I got the same message when clicking on R.app in /Applications

Using dapptrace. Can't seem to trace user functions with defaults or specifying -u<lib>
Hi Folks,
I''m trying to get to grips with dapptrace, running it on my Mac.
Everything seems pretty straightforward, except for - of course - what
I''m trying to do.
I want to focus in on my code but I can''t seem to be able to output
just the functions I want, i.e. user functions.
The -U option gives everything. Too much of course.
Leaving that blank means the

R 2.10 memory leak on OS X
Dear R users,
I am running R 2.10.0 on OS X 10.5.8.
I had been running 2.10 successfully for about a week (and have used
previous R versions for 2+ years on the same computer) until 2 days ago it
failed to start up for me. Now when I try to start R, the application tries
to initiate for several minutes then crashes. Looking at the activity
monitor, my memory usage goes from having about 1.6Gb
