xtabs
Hi, In Splus if I call the function crosstabs() the output is a contigency table; in each cell of the table is printed: N, N/RowTotal, N/ColTotal, N/Total. N is the number of observations in each cell. The same call to xtabs() in R will produce the contigency table but the only entry in each cell is N. How can I get the same relative frequencies that crosstabs() gives? Thanks, mike --

tree
Hi, I have a dataframe, y, with 1000 rows and 266 columns. The first column of y is a 2 level factor response; columns 2:266 are each ordinal variables that can take on one of the values 1, 2, or 3. I'm trying to fit a model with the calls: (A) y.tree <- tree(pref~.,data=y,mindev=0,minsize=2) and (B) y.tree <- tree(pref~.,data=y,split='gini') pref is the name of the factor

lme in R and Splus
Good Day, Included below is some code to generate data and to fit a mixed effects model to this fake data. The code works as expected when I call the function "lme" in Splus but not in R. The error message from calling lme in R is: "Error in getGroups.data.frame(dataMix, groups) : Invalid formula for groups" I installed the nlme package for R around 20 August

R CMD check, interfacing c++ linking errors

random forest proximities
Good Day, I'm using the randomForest package to perform a classification. If I supply weights to the optional classwt argument are proximity values computed as a weighted average? I understand that the forest will possibly change as a function of the particular weights I supply. Thanks in advance. [PATCH] Btrfs: fix crash in log replay with qgroups enabled
When replaying a log tree with qgroups enabled, tree_mod_log_rewind does a sanity-check of the number of items against the maximum possible number. It calculates that number with the nodesize of fs_root. Unfortunately fs_root is not yet set at this stage. So instead use the nodesize from tree_root, which is already initialized. [btrfs-progs 1/4] Add man/mkfs.btrfs.8.in
Add man/mkfs.btrfs.8.in Kept the name with the name in, so that further processing such as BUILD_DATE BUILD_VERSION etc. could be included later. a newbie question, if possible to help
i was wondering if anyone can help me form a very simple "if" statment in the controller... i did a usual scaffold for table ''pages'', and everything is working out well, i did the main site ''backbone'' and all, and everythings good....the thing is, now i need to make sure that the site-admin does not have the possiblity to destroy page 1 or page 2.

randomForest, 'No forest component...' error while calling Predict()
Dear R-users, While making a prediction using the randomForest function (package randomForest) I'm getting the following error message: "Error in predict.randomForest(model, newdata = CV) : No forest component in the object" Here's my complete code. For reproducing this task, please find my 2 data sets attached ( http://www.nabble.com/file/p17855119/data.rar data.rar ).

[RFC][PATCH] btrfs orphan code
Hello, I want to throw this out here now that I''ve got most of the heavy lifting done for this code to make sure what I''m doing is ok for now. I''ve added an ORPHAN_DIR item key to have a hidden dir per root. Right now it just does it for whatever the default root is on mount, but I''m going to fix that to do the orphan dir check/creation on lookup of a
