Custom graphing : Which package (Base, Grid or Lattice package)
Hi All,
Over the years, I have written a number of custom time series graphing
modules (in ANSI C). I want to make these graphs available in R. After
considerable thought (as well as feedback fom this NG - thanks go to Don
MacQueen and Paul Murrell), I have decided to re-write (atleast some of the
routines in R).
Basically, this is what my R function needs to do:

How to unset namespace configuration from dovecot.conf in conf.d/99-cutom.conf?
Dear all,
my /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf [0] that is shipped with the Linux
distro (Ubuntu 18.04, dovecot 2.3.10) has a namespace section:
namespace inbox {
...
mailbox Sent {
...
}
...
}
I need to remove this whole section from the configuration, but I need
to do this in a file such as /etc/dovecot/conf.d/99-custom.conf because
I want this modification to be stable against

If you are talking about scripting graphs, then Gnuplot is what you
need - it's in the core centos distro I think.

Graphing library?
Hello everyone,
I''m looking to produce some graphs broadly like the ones shown here:
http://www.dotnetcharting.com/gallery/List.aspx?gal=6 No prize for
guessing what type of app it is...
This particular graphing library is .NET-specific, but as you can see
the results it produces are really nice. More than likely, they''re
several notches above what I''ll be able to

3D graphing Libraries
Unfortunately a number of our clients need extensive reporting
capabilities. There are a number of Java 3d graphing libraries like the
link below and PHP offerings out there.
http://big.faceless.org/products/graph/index.jsp
.Net has its new report viewer control for ASP.net 2.0 which allows you
to create 2d/3d reports containing pie charts, line graphs etc. Whats
cool about this control is

I''ve found a decent ruby + rails graphing solution!!
I''ve searched far and wide for a decent graphing solution that i can use
easily with ruby.
It needed to be fairly advanced (not Gruff),simple, powerfull.
It''s called ploticus
http://ploticus.sourceforge.net/doc/welcome.html
There is a ruby wrapper for it but the site is currently down, so i''m
using it via CGI on my Apache server. It''s great.
Just thought

mrtg would be a simple option. It's designed for graphing network
traffic but can be used to

looking for graphing tools
Hi!
I have bazillions of incoming (rejected) attempts to connect to my
SMTP server, and I'm interested in separating out those that seem
to come in huge bunches (e.g., the one from yesterday that ran for
about 10 hours and sent over 4100 attempts), and graphing them so
I can see the spacing and/or distribution in time.
I can figure out some simple scripting to turn the maillog entries

I want to remove all rows with more than one NA
So I want it to look like

graphing with barchart question
I am graphing data using barchart (barchart(DV ~ IV | subject). I
have 2 groups of 9 subjects each. How can I easily identify which
group each subject belongs to? I have been trying to color code them,
but can't seem to get that to work. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
Thanks,

random selection from dataset and creating and graphing multiple means
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem. I need to randomly
select, say 500 subjects from the 5000 cases I have and then need to run a
test to create 500 sample means and graph the means in a histogram. Does
anyone know how to do this. I'm not that familiar with R so please be
patient with me.
Thanks a lot!

custom graphing of box and whisker plots
Hi,
I'm trying to graph some data in a boxplot-like style, but I want to set
the box and whisker limits myself (rather than having R calculate them for
me). I'd like the boxes to be shaded and the whiskers to be dotted lines.
My data are set up is something like this:
min.whisker max.whisker min.box max.box species

Need some Gruff graphing help - custom dimensions?
I''ve been working with Gruff to do all my apps graphing and such etc. I
love it but I''m just having a hard time customizing the graphs, but this
is perhaps due to my inability to comprehend the online RDocs.
What I want to do is adjust the width / heights of my graphs or at the
VERY LEAST the heights. It seems that if you scale a graph anywhere
below 400-450px it is pretty

graphing and scrolling
Dear R users
graphing with plot(x) seams to work for a small length(x), when length(x) is too large it seams to clutter the display, a solution would be to display subsets of x at a time, yet a better way which I hope R supports is to place a sliding bar on the display window to control length(x) and thus the resolution, which will involve auto scaling the y axis as well as automatically

help with graphing -- Points in my graph are not apparent, always displayed in steps
I am trying to graphically represent a large set of data who's result is not
strictly uniform. http://n4.nabble.com/file/n961629/egraph_rules_list_2.png
The scatter plot to the left has all of the data rising in steps however I
know that there are cases within my data that do not fit the dotted line.

Traffic Control Diagnostic Graphing Utility
I wrote a Perl script to poll `tc` for traffic control statistics (just bytes
presently) for leaf qdiscs. The information is fed to either RRDTool or
Munin[2], depending on what parameter is passed to the script. If the option
for a RRD database is used, graphs[3][4] are written to disk for each ten
second polling interval. If invoked via Munin[2], it handles graphing and
samples at five
