Add -D_XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED definition for HP/UX 11.00 platform
Hi, I suggest to add the following definition to configure and its template configure.in to allow samba-2.2.x to be compiled on HP/UX 11.00 with some lesser warnings. Without this definition you'll get warnings on all socket operation because the socket operations are UNIX98 specific and HP/UX 11.00 will support this when _XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED is defined. -- Ren? OpenSSH + Solaris + AFS ???
Hello *, sorry if i missed an article which already solves my problem. I need a working configuration of OpenSSH for Solaris 7 (SunOS 5.7) with AFS support. PAM support to use the AFS PAm module `pam_afs.so' and TCP-Wrapper support would be nice. It would be nice to have similar configurations for Solaris 6 (SunOS 5.6), Solaris 8 (SunOS 5.8) and Solaris 2.5.1. I have tested a few

SV: SAMBA digest 2210
Hi there, When I compile, install and run Samba 2.0.5a on an AIX 4.3.2 box it won't really start. The log files of both smd and nmbd complains about fcntl locking on the .pid files failing. Can this has to do with the problem you had spotted? How would I get past it you think? Regards, /Peter -- Peter Str?mberg, e-mail: peter.stromberg@scania.se WM-Data Scania, J?rnagatan 41-49, 15127

2.0.5a configure bug fcntl test on automounted source dir
Hello, I believe that I have found a bug in the 2.0.5a configure process. If the source tarball is extracted to an automounted directory, and you run configure, it will fail the fcntl_lock test, resulting in this message at the end of the configure process: WARNING: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe To verify that the automounted directory is the problem, I put an "exit

?: 'rsync' hang with 'sshd2' (F-Secure), Digital Unix (OSF1) and HP/UX 11
Hi, I have managed to test this same transfer reliably with the Linux boxes and open-ssh, but I am in trouble with the OSF1 4.0 (Digital Unix) being the server sending files from a single directory to the HP/UX 11 - being the client The 'sshd2' (and ssh2) in both ends is installed as root (and starts probably from 'rc') The 'rsync' (2.4.6) in both end is just

Various platforms
Hello, I've been compiling OpenSSH up on just about every platform that I can get my hands on. I am not certain of the best way of building my 'fixes' into the source tree, not least of all since I didn't worry about #ifdef's or the configure scripts. However hopefully this will be of use to you. This is all for openssh-2.2.0p1 compiled alongside openssl-0.9.5a and

HP-UX and IRIX recent builds? Any other rare platforms?
I am revising the section in R-admin on platforms. When I asked about locales earlier this year I got no reply about HP-UX and IRIX, so I will presume that no one has built R on those OSes recently. If you have, please send me the OS number and the flags you used. Platforms where I have seen recent reports: Linux MacOS X Solaris 8, 9, 10 (any Solaris 7 users please let me know) AIX 5.1

Problems with SSH2 display under OpenServer
Hello, There appears to be a display issue when connecting to an OpenServer system using SSH2. I've compiled OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 on SunOS 5.7, HP-UX 11, and OpenServer 5.0.5. Whenever the destination is the OpenServer system, the display has a step-ladder effect. This behavior exhibits itself no matter what box the origination point is. A quick inspection revealed that the stty settings of
