Hello, I want to build an application where i have client and server. I need to exacute commands with XM-RPC. I can get all this working, following the howto''s in wiki and main website. But the problem is they are all unsecure. I can''t seem to find any web service examples where they use authentication, or ssl. Just wondering if anyone know how i go about doing this. At the

My question is about the static files in the Rails public folder. These files should be served by Apache instead of Mongrel, so do I need to upload these files to Apache''s htdoc''s or will Apache cache them the first time they are requested from Mongrel... Im not sure how this works? Many thanks.

I have a Apache proxying to a number of Mongrel''s on different physical machines. What I need to do next is share files between the Rails instances. I am creating dynamic files which will be created by Rails and stored on disk. The file is then recovered and served at a later date by an ajax request.
