rsyncd.conf;
I have some rsync defined as a server on one of my production systems and
use to to sync out various configuration files for services running on the
box (dhcpd, dns named.conf files & the like). Both ends are Compaq
Alpha/Tru64 5.1 systems running rsync 2.5.5.
I'm having a fit trying to include certain files in specific subdirectories
under the main path; one such example is below:

Goodness-of-fit on Burr distributed data
I simulate a uniform data and then transformed into Burr(1,3,1) data,
which is of pdf:
f(x)=[3*(x^2)] / [(1+x^3)^2], x>0
How can I perform a goodness-of-fit test (k-s,
anderson-darling,chisq,cramer-von mises,...) on it (should highly accept)
to get test-statistics & p-values?
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Shelton Jin

garch function in R
I'm using R 2.1.1 and just successfully installed packages tseries, fseries.
I try to run example
http://www.maths.lth.se/help/R/.R/library/tseries/html/garch.html
But it shows
> x.arch <- garch(x, order = c(0,2)) # Fit ARCH(2)
Error: couldn't find function "garch"
Then I run command
> help.search("garch")
it shows the R information.

[LLVMdev] problems with llvmgcc
Dear Prof. Adve,
Now I can use llvmgcc to compile a .c file into .bc file. But I still have
trouble simply run the .bc code. Below is the sequence I got when I tried.
I really don't know what's going on here. Please let me know how can I fix
it.
Thanks,

how to overlay the histogram with fitted gamma density plot (emergent!!)
For a real data column X value ranged between (56.4521,32317.9) with missing values, I need to overlay 2 plots: histogram & fitted gamma density.
I use following to generate histogram.
xbk_seq(50,33000,by=100)
hist(x,breaks=xbk)
But I don't know how to get "fitted gamma density"?
In SAS proc capability, I got Shape=2.59, Scale=3481).
But when I do
plot(dgamma(x,

[LLVMdev] DSGraph questions
Dear Prof. Adve,
I recently checked out the llvm using
cvs update
command under the llvm directory. But when I went to see the DSNode.h,
there is no getPointerSize function. I checked the doxygen tree, it's
there. So that means I didn't update my cvs tree correctly. Could you let
me know how to update my CVS tree? Or there is a problem at somewhere
else?
Thanks,
xiaodong

OT: Good soft-phone on Linux
Hi Folks,
I am wanting advise on a good soft-phone on Linux. I have looked at
Gnophone but cannot seem to get it to compile under debian sarge. I am
now looing at sipXphone seem to be picking up that it is not that
stable, but perhaps someone here can advise on what softphone I can use
on Linux.
Thanks in advance,

.ps files in R
I have recently "printed" in R to a postscript file. I'm working on a SSH
without an X terminal. It was fairly automatic:
> plot(x,y)
> dev.off()
And then the default creates a file called Rplots.ps which I can ftp to my
laptop and open in Ghostscript. I can see the file, and nothing looks odd.
However, when I import it into LaTeX, it refuses to configure right side up.

[LLVMdev] about getNodeForValue()
I have a question about the getNodeForValue() function. If I have the
following code:
struct a *p;
p = malloc( sizeof(struct a));
If I call DSGraph->getNodeForValue(p).getNode(). Will the returned Node
be p node or the actual memory location node?
Thanks,

can not connect to the shared printer
Hi there,
I'm learning Samba and I really appreciate somebody out there can help
me out. I'm using RedHat advanced server and a windows 2000. I created a
workgroup on samba and only samba machine and win2k machine are members.
I shared the printer attached to the Linux. From win2k PC, I can see the
workgroup, but I can not find the samba host from the workgroup, nor
does the printer.

MASS package?
Did the MASS package disappear? Specifically, I'm looking for a function to
find the MCD (robust measure of shape and location) for a multi-dimensional
data matrix.
Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks, Jo

[LLVMdev] question
Thanks Bill. One more question, when I use the DSNode iterator to
traverse a node's children. The return value of I.getNode() can only
be 'const DSNode *', I cannot use 'DSNode *' type. So as a result, I
always get error message like this:
MemLeakage.cpp:159: invalid conversion from `const DSNode*' to `DSNode*'

[LLVMdev] modify instructions
I think since we use the replaceAllUsesWith to replace all
uses of old one, the old one should already be a instruction
with # of uses equals 0. So it should be Ok to directly delete
it. Can you let me know if there is anything wrong with simple
deletion? Why can we create illegal LLVM?
Thanks,
xiaodong

[LLVMdev] get TopDown DSGraph
Dear LLVM,
I was wondering if this is the right way to get TopDown DSGraph?
TDDataStructures &TD = getAnalysis<TDDataStructures>();
F is some function
DSGraph &dsg = TD.getDSGraph(F);
I found out the DSGraph I got using this method is actually bottom up
DSGraph, can you let me know why?
Thanks,
xiaodong

[LLVMdev] modify instructions
Hi, I have a question about the modify of instruction:
Say I want to modify
%a = getelementptr %struct %S, long 0, ubyte 1
into
%a.f0 = getelementptr int* %S.f0, long 0
There are 3 ways I can think of to implement, but I'm not sure
what should I do.
1. I can use new GetElementPtr to create a new instruction and
use ReplaceInstWithInst() function to replace the old one.
2. I can use new

[LLVMdev] (no subject)
Dear LLVM,
I need to do interprocedural analysis for my project. I was wondering if
you can tell me how to create Bottom Up DSGraph and Call Graph in the
program. I know
DSGraph *dsg = new DSGraph( F )
can create a DSGraph, but looks like that's only local DSGraph.
I also need to know how to create the call graph for the whole module in
the program.
Thanks,
xiaodong
