Executing ruby on rail program through address bar
I Want to run my ruby on rail application through address bar.
i.e like: http://localhost/rail_program/first.rhtml.
when i trying this it only executes html part but not executing rail
part.
Here is the code:

Hi,
I installed ruby on rail on my windows system.
I sucessfully made one database related application.
But when i want to execute it, i have to give url like
http://127.0.0.1:3000/wedding/ etc.
can''t i browse through my browser?
192.168.0.51 is my ip.
Another one thing is i never get file named new in my example then also
it executes file called new for database inserting ,how it is?

Now i want to upload & run this programs online.
How can i?
Is this necessary to install ruby,rail,web-brick server on my online

nlme on Windows 2000 (v1.8.1)
I have a problem with nlme on Windows 2000, and I'm having a devil of a
time determining whether the problem is with my computer or with
something in R. I'm running v1.8.1 on a Dell Pentium III with 512MB of
RAM and all of the recommended Windows 2000 updates applied.

i.e. Given the value ''val'', I would like to do something like:

A couple of problems
Hi Ezra,
Thanks for the great work on BackgrounDRb. I have come across a
couple of problems.
1. I wanted to define a simple class in the worker file to wrap up and
pass back some data to my controller. It seems that if I create the
class either inside or outside of my worker class (in the same file)
it gets wrapper by a DRb::DRbUknown object and therefore cannot be
accessed from my controller.

What do I need to learn Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, AJAX?
So I''ve sort of come to the conclusion that if I wanna get stuff done, I
need to either A) Find some dang money and pay people to do it or B) Do
it myself. I''m opting for B. Soooo...now I''ve got some
programming/technologies to learn. I''m self-employed and I can afford to
take a month (or 2) off to totally immerse myself in this and learn how
to do it.

Acts_as_ferret and auto-flush

I''m using acts_as_ferret in with a mongrel and I'' m getting locking
errors that after a while result in a corrupt database.
I know about the problem with different processes writing to the
index but I haven''t been able to get the DRB server working properly
yet. I read on this list that another solution is to set :auto_flush

Problems Overwriting CallerID with True ANI
I receive calls over a T1 with callerid and then *ani*dnis*. I am able
to strip out the ani and the dnis in the dialplan but when I try to set
the caller ID to be the ani, it looks ok but then if I do a NoOp
callerid on the next line, I get unknown.
Here is the section of my dialplan:

BDC and password change program
Hello,
Just wondering what I should be using for the password change program on a BDC.
Should it be:
passwd program = /usr/bin/smbpasswd -r <PDC address> %u
I'm having a problem with passwords not staying in sync between the PDC and BDC
with pass backend ldap.
The systems are all Fedora Core 4, Samba 3.0.14a, openldap 2.2.23

I am trying to make a call for the Unicall channels and after the
exchange of signalling and sending of the digits asterisk locks up
with the sending of the signalling "E" and the TELCO says that
asterisk would have to send signalling "F", as to make for asterisk to
send signalling "F"?
The TELCO says that the signalling "E" is
