Hi guys,
I need some help to analyzing my data.
I start to describe my data: I have 21 matrices, every matrix on the
rows has users and on columns has items, in my case films.
Element of index (i, j) represent the rating expressed by user i about item j.
I have a matrix for each of professions.
An example of a this type of matrix is:

I don't want to invest alot of money, but would like some thing that is

Raid Questions
Hi,
I have a centos 4.2 server setup and running as a zimbra email server.
It has 2 18.4Gig SCSI hard drives setup in software raid 1 for mirroring.
I had tested the unit before production and found that if I disconnected
one of the drives the other wouldn't boot
I search and found that I had to modify the boot (I don't remember
exactly at the moment)
After testing I am sure it

Load Balancing
Hi,
We are starting a new project, and are trying to decide the best way to
proceed. We want to setup a LAMP configuration using Centos, something
we have been doing in the past with great success.
The question is load balancing. We antisipate the potential for the
system to receive 500,000 requests/ day with in the next year. We want
to plan for that extra load now as we start the

Hi,
I am working on a project where I have to move some parts files from an
old Unix server. I have tared the files to floppy disc, but I can't
mount them.
After doing some reasearch I have found that the SCO Unix ver 3.2 uses a
System V filesystem I think. From the article that I have read I need to
add this filesystem to my kernel to be able to mount and read the floppy
discs.

how to uninstall wine
I need to remove wine completely on Red Hat Linux 7.1
I tried "make uninstall" but it doesn't work completely.. It only
uninstalls it partially. I didn't install it using rpm btw. So i can't
do something like rpm -e wine. There's also no "dkpg" whatever command!
Thanks.
Didier.

ZFS-DMU benchmark on Linux
Hi all,
You will find in attachment to this mail some benchmarks we made on
Linux with pios over ZFS-DMU.
There are some interesting things about ZFS tuning and some ideas for
breaking a bottleneck we identified in DMU.
