Slice and dice plugin
I''ve been playing around with some easier ways of specifying
conditions in active record, and have come up with a little plugin
that some may find useful. Currently active record finder and
calculations methods can take a :conditions option with a string or
array listing some sql conditions, eg:
Animals.find :first, :conditions => "name = ''Tiger''"

finding the last day of the month
Dear R Help,
I am trying to get fields showing the last day of each month for a monthly
closing project. In order to find the last day of the previous month, I
subtract the number of days from the current month. For all months my code
works; however, for October, my code doesn't work...it returns
2010-09-*29* instead
of 2010-09-*30*.

Dates - week and year not day.
Hi,
I would be very grateful for some advice. I have read the help pages for
Date, strptime, etc. All examples seem to use some version of day month year
as date format. However I have Weekly composite data so ONLY want to input
the dates as Week.Year (eg 35.2011). strptime seems to show this is possible
using %W for week (UK convention) and %Y for year. My data is in a df called

R: Help xts object Subset Date by Day of the Week
I have a xts object made of daily closing prices I have acquired using
quantmod.
Here is my code:
library(xts)
library(quantmod)
library(lubridate)
# Gets SPY data
getSymbols("SPY")
# Subset Prices to just closing price
SP500 <- Cl(SPY)
# Show day of the week for each date using 2-6 for monday-friday
SP500wd <- wday(SP500)
# Add Price and days of week together

Calculating weekly/bi-monthly average for time series data
Dear all, given a daily time series data, I am able to calculate monthly average, quarterly average like:
library(zoo)
dat <- zooreg(rnorm(500), start=as.Date("2000-01-01"), frequency=1)
mo.ave <- aggregate(dat, as.yearmon(index(dat)), "mean")
head(dat)
head(mo.ave)
However is there any direct way like above to calculate the weekly average, bi-monthly average?
Thanks

seek advise for slice & dice a table
hi,
im having a table which holds a lot of information. i would like to
slice & dice in a BI-manner the table. u guys have any suggestions?
table looks a bit like this:
user
app [appa, appb, appc]
action [actiona, actionb, actionc]
timestamps
...
so it would be cool to sort, drill in&up based on the various dimensions.
im not asking for a full bi-solution, but maybe the one or the other

[LLVMdev] interprocedural static backwards slicing
Dear Jin,
I've talked with Vikram, and we agree that having this code (and a dynamic backwards slicing pass that Swarup and I wrote) in a publicly available SVN repository is a good thing.
I'll try to get you a copy of the static slicing code some time next week (I should be able to work on it Monday morning) so that you can start working with it right away. I can work on making a

[LLVMdev] Interprocedural Program Slicing
Dear all,
Is anyone aware of any implementation of an inter procedural slicing
algorithm
for LLVM? I am mostly interested in a static algorithm but a dynamic one can
be helpful too.

[LLVMdev] Forward/Backward Interprocedural Slicing in LLVM
Hi All,
Are there any known implementations of static inter-procedural slicing
for LLVM (especially forward slicing)?
I did find a few references to it in the archives dating back to 2008,
but am not sure what the current status is.
Any pointers would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

[LLVMdev] interprocedural static backwards slicing
Hello John et al -
I have been struggling to implement static backwards slicing with LLVM.
After digging llvmdev postings for some time, I see that other people were
having similar difficulties and John's got almost complete code that may
be shared. May I get a copy of it, too? Better yet, it would be helpful
for many other people if the code were checked in to an example directory

[LLVMdev] Interprocedural Program Slicing
We have done a few class projects on static interprocedural slicing
but they are all of "course project" quality. I will put you in touch
with some of the students who did those, if you're interested?

Program slicing has been used in many applications, the criteria of which
is a pair of statement and variables. I would like to write an
inter-procedural program slicing pass in LLVM, which is able to calculate C

Slicing an array
Hi all,
I've been trying to work out how to slice an array of arbitrary
dimension. I found a message showing how to stick two arrays together,
but so far have been unable to transform that into what I need. Assume
that I have a four dimensional array for example:
array4d
, , 1, 1
[,1] [,2]
[1,] 3 6
[2,] 1 1
, , 2, 1
[,1] [,2]
[1,] 4 7
[2,] 8 7

[LLVMdev] Program Slicing using LLVM?
Hi all...
I am developing a program slicing framework using LLVM. The idea
is to remove the computation parts from the program and only keep the
parts relevant for the control flow.
For example, in the following C loop.
for (i=0;i<=VAL;)
{
printf("In the loop");
a=b+c;
b=h+k;
i++;
printf("%d",i);
}
after slicing...
for (i=0;i<=VAL;)
{
i++;

[LLVMdev] Array Slicing?
I'm designing a language that supports array slicing. Does LLVM allows
conversions between array pointers? For example, can I cast a
pointer-to-array-of-5-ints to a pointer-to-array-of-3-ints? Can I get
the address of the third element of an array-of-5-ints and convert it to
a pointer-to-array-of-3-ints? Then again, I suppose a pointer-to-int
would work just as well since LLVM
