which NIC is samba4 AD using ?
1. I need to know by using a command -if possible- or antoher way, which NIC is samba AD using? Apart of looking for the 'interfaces' option in the smb.conf. So, Exists other way to know that? Because if I coding this method expecting for the smb.conf, I could have problems if smb.conf has been deleted. 2. If during provisioning a DC I don't specify the network interface Samba select

Plot multiple Graphics via Layers
Hello, I want to plot 13 barplots in a 4x4 matrix-window (1st layer). So that's no Problem, it worked out. The problem is now, that I want to add two additional layers to this graphic. They contain similar barplots, just with another color for the second bar of each barplot (2nd layer) and antoher color for the 5th bar of each barplot (3rd layer). Basically I want to place the 2nd and

I have taken the liberty of including the R-help mailing list on this reply as that is the appropriate place to discuss lmer results. levels in dataframes
Dear R community, I wish to ask a short question concerning factor-data in dataframes: When I subset the data and get rid of all data for one level, I still retain the level name (obtained by levels(dataframe$variablename) ). Is there a convenient way to get rid of the levels for which all data has been deleted? Thank you and wishing you an excellent day! Georg.

Combining two dataframes and specifying tolerance levels
Hello everyone, I have two data frames. One is a vector about 780 rows long consisting of lat long data of 780 station locations. The other table was previously a shape file which I have converted into a data frame object of lat long coordinates and attribute data. What I want to do is combine the two--assigning attribute data to each station. The problem is, however, that those station

Hierarchical multi-level model with lmer: why are the highest-level random adjustments 0?
Hi all I have a hopefully not too stupid question about multi-level / mixed-effects modeling. I was trying to test a strategy from Crawley's 2013 R Book on a data set with the following structure: - dependent variable: CONSTRUCTION (a factor with 2 levels) - independent fixed effect: LENGTH (an integer in the interval [1, 61]) - random effects with the following hierarchical structure: MODE

Adjusting OHCL data via quantmod
Hello, I'm trying to do two things: -1. Ensure that I understand how quantmod adjust's OHLC data -2. Determine how I ought to adjust my data. My overarching-goal is to adjust my OHLC data appropriately to minimize the difference between my backtest returns, and the returns I would get if I was trading for real (which I'll be doing shortly). Background: -1. I'm using Alpha

mgcv: Extract random effects from gam model
Hi everyone, I can't figure out how to extract by-factor random effect adjustments from a gam model (mgcv package). Example (from ?gam.vcomp): library(mgcv) set.seed(3) dat <- gamSim(1,n=400,dist="normal",scale=2) a <- factor(sample(1:10,400,replace=TRUE)) b <- factor(sample(1:7,400,replace=TRUE)) Xa <- model.matrix(~a-1) ## random main effects Xb <-

smb client problem
Hi! We're experiencing a really weird problem with our linux smb client. We map four directories to a NT4-share from our linux-box (2.2.12). The problem is that the mount goes through just fine with no complaints and I can see the files on that share, but, I can't see new files created with ls on the nt4-server on the linuxbox but if I run more <filename> I can see the contents of

Kerberos case sensitive with Mac OS X on Samba 3.0.x

I'm using local UNIX accounts and entries in the passdb instead of Windind on the samba server, ie create account by adding to /etc/passwd then smbpasswd -a username.
