All works fine, but no File or Directory with non iso-latin1 character (in example german umlauts like ?,?,?) will be sync ... Hi everyone, it would be nice if rsync could call an external command to delete files. Than one could call a secure deletion tool like "wipe", which overwrites files a few times before deleting them. I've Samba 2.0.6 running as a NT-Server, but there is a problem: When user change password at their workstation, the "root" password get overwriten by the new user password as well.
