convert character to POSIXct
Dear list-members, I would like to calculate the difference between two points in time. To convert a 'time (GMT)'-character with the format "1/1/1999 01:01:01" into an object of class "POSIXct"', I first use the strptime() as suggested in the details help(as.POSIXct). e.g. starttime<-strptime("1/1/1999 01:01:01",format="%d/%m/%Y %H:%M:%S")

For example, convert 20010122 to 2001 Jan 22, and get its day of the week, i.e. Monday? 3. How to handle date variables in a loop? How to make the following codes work? And how users should pass the

how to convert character string with only month and year into date
Dear R helpers. I am new to plotting time data using R. wonder how to convert character time info into date in R. I searched over the web but did not find answer. the input character string is something like 03_1993 or 03-1993, so the precision is at month level. I tried the following but failed. #R code below. strptime(c("03_1993"),"%m_%Y")

Convert week value to date
Hello all, I'm hoping to convert a decimal value for week of the year back to a date object. Eg: strptime(paste(2010,1:52,sep=" "),format="%Y %W") I expected (hoped?) this would give me the date for Monday of each week. Instead, it's giving me 52 values of today's date. Where am I erring? [PATCH vhost] vhost_net: Fix too many vring kick on busypoll
Under heavy load vhost busypoll may run without suppressing notification. For example tx zerocopy callback can push tx work while handle_tx() is running, then busyloop exits due to vhost_has_work() condition and enables notification but immediately reenters handle_tx() because the pushed work was tx. In this case handle_tx() tries to disable notification again, but when using event_idx it by

Date-time Conversion from Numeric Representations
Hi all, I have a dataset called ,dataSet1'. The time column is given in a numeric code beginning with the year and ending with the minutes. Frist I tried the strptime() function to solve the problem. It gave me just the date back (and not the date and time). There is also the ISOdatetime function which didn't work either. I created a dump file which I detached to this mail with the
