hello
Hello,
I am a new user.
I would like to know if it is possible with R to fix the position of
ticks.
for example for my plot I obtained automatically the positions
200,400,600,800 and 1000 on x axis and so a scale of 200
But I would like to obtain
100,200,300,400,500,600,700,800,900,100 so a scale of 100.
Which fonction can help me to do so?
thank you

normality test
Hello
I have used recently the kolmogorov smirnov test,
which is a test of normality.
This test is named ks.test() in ctest library of R.
I wonder if the results of ks.test () are true, because
the results are strange, time to time.
thank you for help

Chow test(1960)/Structural change test
Hi,
A question on something which normally should be easy !
I perform a linear regression using lm function:
> reg1 <- lm (a b+c+d, data = database1)
Then I try to perform the Chow (1960) test (structural change test) on my regression. I know the breakpoint date. I try the following code like it is described in the “Examples” section of the “strucchange” package :

combining arima and ar function
Hi everyone
I've got a problem regarding the arima() and the ar() function for
autoregressive series. I would simply like to combine them.
To better understand my question, I first show you how I'm using these two
functions individually (see file in the attachement).
1) apply(TSX,2, function(x) ar(na.omit(x),method="mle")$order
# this function finds the optimal

Simple AR(2)
Hi there, we are beginners in R and we are trying to fit the following time
series using ar(2):
> x <- c(1.89, 2.46, 3.23, 3.95, 4.56, 5.07, 5.62, 6.16, 6.26, 6.56, 6.98,
> 7.36, 7.53, 7.84, 8.09)
The reason of choosing the present time series is that the we have
previously calculated analitically the autoregressive coefficients using
the direct inversion method as 1.1, 0.765, 0.1173.

Possible bug in POSIX classes for R 2.11.0?
To the R development team;
I found an unusual behavior in zoo when I upgraded to R 2.11.0 - it abruptly terminated when I performed certain operations on large zoo objects. I sent an e-mail to Achim Zeileis and he said this was a potential bug that I should report to the R development team. The details are given below in the thread below. Basically, I can crash R with this code:

ivreg with fixed effect in R?
I want to estimate the following fixed effect model:
y_i,t = alpha_i + beta_1 x1_t + beta_2 x2_i,tx2_i,t = gamma_i + gamma_1
x1_t + gamma_2 Z1_i + gamma_3 Z2_i
I can use ivreg from AER to do the iv regression.
fm <- ivreg(y_i,t ~ x1_t + x2_i,t | x1_t + Z1_i + Z2_i,
data = DataSet)
But, I'm not sure how can I add the fixed effects.
Thanks!

New grDevices::hcl.colors()
Hi everyone,
I wanted to draw your attention to a new post on the
developer.R-project.org blog:
https://developer.R-project.org/Blog/public/2019/04/01/hcl-based-color-palettes-in-grdevices/
A new function grDevices::hcl.colors() greatly extends the color palette
functionality available in base R. Also, the defaults in the heatmap
functions image() and filled.contour() have been adapted

Yes, oversight, I think ;-)
Added to the devel-version of zoo. I'll try to get it out to CRAN in
the next days.

Hello,
Splus contains the function intbin(x,l).
This function allows to make a conversion from an integer x to a binary of
length l.
for example
intbin(3,2) returns 11
intbin(3,3) returns 011
Do you know how to do it in R ?
Thank you meriema
