Link with C code
Hello,
I am using cygwin (latest version) and I managed to generate a dll partly
with rcmd shlib although there was a problem with both the resouce file (I
had to remove "FILEOS VOS__WINDOWS32") and the command line for gcc
(--shared is not supported for instance).
So I would like to know which compiler/environment you advise to use for
windows OS.
Then I could load the library in R

anyone tell me what the command line for the makefile should be.
ie,
make -f Makefile.in ...?
Thanks for any help

Question:manipulating spatial data using combination of Maptools and Splancs
Hi,
I have a problem that concerns combination of the package Maptools and
Splancs
I have 2 shapefiles that i want to manipulate (one of type point and one
polygon).I import them in R using Maptools but then i can't estimate a
quartic Kernel using Splancs. The package doesn't recognize the shapes
(invalid points and poly argument).I don't know if this is an easy task but

error with bbox for k12hat (splancs) bivarite k-function
Hello,
I am trying to conduct a bi-variate ripley's k using the k12hat function in
the splancs package (found here
http://rss.acs.unt.edu/Rdoc/library/splancs/html/k12hat.html). Although, I
receive an error when getting to the bboxx part of the code:

Dear forum,
I would like to use the kernel2d or spkernel2d in the Splancs-package, but
it does not recognize my polygon data.
"Error in kernel2d(as.points(ptsbin), polygonprov, h0 = 2, nx = 100, : " is
the error message.

any good way to convert sp class objects to splancs object
Greetings:
are there any simple ways to convert an sp class object to a splancs ppp class
object, outside of reading the coordinates and computing a bounding box?
cheers,

random location in polygons sp spsample splancs csr
Dear all,
I had to place points at random, one in each of larger number of
polygons (actually in objects of class 'SpatialPolygonsDataFrame' , see
sp library), and tried first to do it using spsample (from sp).
Surprisingly, every 5-15 trials, the output was a NULL value. The doc
says that ' this may occur when trying to hit a small and awkwardly
shaped polygon in a large

inout() in splancs working properly?
I have a problem with function 'inout()' in package 'splancs' on CRAN-R
Version 1.2.3 under FreeBSD4.3-STABLE.
The following script produces and draws points and a polygon-surrounded
area. Repeating the same script many times shows, that points on the
polygon-line often, but not always, are outside of the polygon-area.

Compiling PL/R against R.dll in Win32/MinGW
Hello list,
I've been trying to get the PostgreSQL PL/R library to compile on
windows (http://www.joeconway.com/plr/). The author of this library
says the problem is likely because the distributed R.dll isn't compiled
as a shared dll. Is this the case? If so, is there any way to compile
it such that it is shared? If that's not the case, than maybe someone
on this list has a better

par(las = 1) not possible in polymap(), library(splancs)?
Dear all,
I want my PhD thesis which I hand in tomorrow to look even nicer:
Does polymap in the splancs library not allow horizontal plotting of
y-labels? I have tried
polymap(studyarea, xlab = "x (m)", ylab = "y (m)", las = 1)
but it doesn't change the labels?
Mayby some function in library(spatstat) support las?
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Tord

[LLVMdev] [LLD] support for dlltool generated libs in COFF/PECOFF
It's doable to support dlltool-style import libraries by LLD. .idata
sections in dlltool-style libraries are designed so that they will
naturally construct the import descriptor table by just sorting them by
section name. Supporting them is not hard.
One thing we need to do is that currently we construct the import
descriptor directly from short import libraries. We don't create

RFC: A new llvm-dlltool driver and llvm-lib driver improvements
Hey llvm'ers,
I have been working on a dlltool replacement for llvm.
Here is my initial differential https://reviews.llvm.org/D29892
It is based on some functionality that already exists in lld.
I added functionality to support, PE COFF Weak Externals and of course a
front end to actually use it.
I believe the work here can also be used for llvm-lib and lessen the load
on lld.
I would like

[LLVMdev] [LLD] support for dlltool generated libs in COFF/PECOFF
After some more digging and creating a few testcases in lld I have narrowed
it down to
The fact that dlltool generates
Contents of section .idata$7:

Where as lld expects
Contents of section .idata$6:

I recreated the hello64.test using dlltool for the lib and here is the
