German letter ä, ö, ü in rfpdf
Hi,
I need PDF creation in Rails and decided for RFPDF.
Everything works quite nice the only problem is that I can''t display
ä,ö,ü in the pdf documents.
I found a tutorial that says that I have to create a font config file
with MakeFont.
I did it, but now I don''t now where to put al this files.
Does anyone has experience with creating PDFs in Rails with ä,ü,ö
letters?

numlock and german key like ä ö ü is not active
Hello Friends,
i have a fresh debian/ubuntu 6.06 installation with automatix and Wine
0.9.12 installed and cedega 5.2.
My problem is when i start an emulated application on wine, like a game
(EVE online game) or a other application i can not use the german keys
on the keyboard like ? ? ? etc. and the (numlock key) numberfield on
the keyboard doesnt work.
Do anybody now where i have to activate

I think this has been fixed in R-patched, but I doubt if the fix has
been tested in Win98. Could you please download a copy from
<http://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/base/rpatched.html> and confirm
that it has been fixed?

Sending Mails with mutations ä,ü,ö
Hi everyone
I am sending mails with rails in German. The Problem is that the German
letters ä,ü,ö are arriving correctly at the receiver.
When the subject contains the word
Für
the receiver gets
Für
Does anybody knows this issue?

Memory leak Windows XP SP2 related to search involving 'ä'

I have read through the posts here that seem related to this problem and

Autocomplete Questions (Umlaut,AfterUpdateElement)
Hello all
I got 2 little questions:
The first is, what can i do, when some special Chars like "ä", "ö",
"ü" doesn''t work. Is there a way to edit .js files, and where. ex: if
i use the general AJAX.Request with "postbody: ''name''+escape(var)" it
will work cause of the escape function, but then i had to write the
whole autocomplete

Should "a" match "ä" in ferret?
Hi all,
I have indexed a huge amount of data with text from several european
languages. In the index are values like Georg Friedrich H?ndel.
I would like a search phrase like "Georg Friedrich Handel" to find
records with the real spelling of H?ndel but it doesn''t seem to work.
Can anyone give me an idea of what I need to do to make this happen. A

Test fail on debian 3.1
I have a problem, I use utf all over a rails site, but the search failes
to search characters with acccents...
I try to debug it, and i had run unit tests for ferret, can those
failures cose problems?

Moderation Question / Charset / Bugreport
Hello,
thanks for the great work, I have a question (Bug report?) concerning my
moderation with the Id 159045.
In the page "My Moderations" the new track name ist printed
"Wurstfachverkäuferin (Band)", which is wrong.
But when I look at the Moderation details I see "Wurstfachverkäuferin
Band)", which is right. (ä is a german "Umlaut", like ö ü Ä Ö Ü.)
