bug in Rdconvlib.pl converting to latex (PR#311)

Running Median and Mean
R gurus, On Aug 20, 2002, I asked in R-help about calculating a running 5-day median on a large matrix. Warning message when items of Hmisc are masked by loading a package.
I've noticed that I get a warning message every time a package masks some functions from Hmisc. The warning message says : Warning message: In identical(get(., i), get(., lib.pos)) : ignoring non-pairlist attributes This happens with eg: library(plyr) library(xtable) I think I've seen this passing by before, but I'm not sure any more. Map using projection
Hi list, I have a real problem with plotting US state map. When I try to plot the northern state, there will be some blank space in the top of graph (see case 1 example), and when I plot southern states, there will be a blank space in the bottom of plot (see case 2). I spent almost 2 days to figure out a solution, but could not. Would you help me if you know what the problem is? Regards, Alireza

Calling Fortran from R: Issues with dynamic loading of fortran dll
I successfully used .Fortran to load and execute my fortran procedures under WinXP and 32 bit R. Alas, the same isn't true with my next Windows 7/64 machine, R 2.14.1 (64 bit) and the gnu gfortran (64) compiler (mingw64 v. 4.6.1). "problem" with delay()
I have been using delay() quite successfully to 'load on reference' some large data files (earthquake catalogues). One minor difficulty I have not been able to overcome is that upon first reference, the data set is loaded into memory as expected, but also remains as a permanent object in the user's environment, instead of appearing to be only in the library from which it was loaded.

c.noquote() weirdness
I haven't been able to get anywhere tracking this down. Is this a bug? Certainly it was not expected. dump() seems to prefer a global definition over a local one. Anybody interested in the S maps library for R? I have ported a limited version of the software for a Unix platform, and would be happy to make it available for anybody interested. If there is a lot of interest then I will submit it to CRAN. I know that Ross Ihaka is working on a new version for R, which does not have some of the limitations of the original S version.
