Profiling with LLVM.
Dear Duncan,
Thank you a lot for your feedback. I have a problem though. The branch
weights counters overflow in some files and thus I get incorrect numbers.
Is there any way to find a workaround for that? Is is supposed to be a
known bug or is it something that needs configuration on my part?
Again, thank you a lot for your reply.
Best Regards,

Profiling with LLVM.
Dear Duncan,
I am generating branch-weights annotated IR files as described in the
documentation of LLVM, using profiling with instrumentation.
http://clang.llvm.org/docs/UsersManual.html#profiling-with-instrumentation
e.g.
llvm-profdata merge -output=$(BENCH).profdata default.profraw
> clang -S -emit-llvm -O3 -fprofile-instr-use=$(BENCH).profdata -o
> bench.prof.ll bench.c

libomptarget code owner.
Hi,
Currently libomptarget has no code owner. Although it is part openmp project the expertise required for libomptarget is different from openmp.
Georgios Rokos from IBM has agreed to be the owner of libomptarget source, so I would like to nominate Georgios Rokos who is a major contributor to libomptarget.
Thanks

libomptarget code owner.
Haven't seen any discussions here. Does that mean that everybody agree on appointing George Rokos to be the code owner for the projects/openmp/libomptarget source tree?
If so, can we have kind of formal approval so that the code_owners.txt file is updated and questions on libomptarget go to the right person then.
BTW, the nominee was discussed at the libomptarget developers meeting, and

R 64 on Intel Mac check problem
Dear all, I have been following the instructions on
http://cran.stat.sfu.ca/with the intention to install R with 64 bits
support on an 8 core Intel Mac
with 6 GB of memory. I am doing this so I can run an analysis that requires
1.6 gB of memory allocation and would not run on 32 bit version of R as I
was advised and experienced.
I have installed gcc 4.2 and gfortran 4.2 from the available sources

Memory Problem
Dear all,
I am having a memory problem when analyzing a rather large data set with
nested factors in R.
The model is of the form X~A*B*(C/D/F) A,B,C,D,F being the independent
variables some of which are nested.
The problem occurs when using aov but also when using glm or lme.
In particular I get the following response,
Error: cannot allocate vector of size 1.6 Gb

rcspline.plot query
Dear all,
As I am new to the R community - although eager to advance- I would
like to pose a question to the community.
I have an SPSS file which I have imported it in R (with the read.spss
command) which conists of scale (continuous) variable "adiponectin" and
the corresponding categorical value "death" (0=No, 1=Yes). In all there
are 60 observations (among which

Windows 10 as guest on Centos 8
I agree with Liam. The good old tried and tested virt-manager will be
obsoleted in the future but it is still available on RHEL/CentOS 8.
Cockpit will replace it in the future but it still lacks a lot of
essential features.
Boxes is a tool that lacks even more functionality.
As to why your computer freezes I have no clue.

R-beta: netscape/R interaction [color allocation]
Thanks to Martin Maechler, Douglas Bates, Peter Dalgaard, and Hedderik van Rijn
for pointing out the problem is with the color resource demands of the two
applications and for their suggested possible solutions. A 24 bit monitor would
be ideal and maybe someday I'll have the $$$ to upgrade. "netscape -install"
works with the attendant flashing screen color changes from window to

The server im trying to use is https://dav.mailbox.org/caldav I dont
think its a problem with my configuration (although i can always be

Sometimes i manage to create an event sometimes i cant.
I started evolution from a terminal and i noticed that when i fail to

The good news is that this version fixes my problem with corrupted index

The bad news is it seems to be leaking FDs to do with inbox:

[LLVMdev] fmac generation for cortex-a9
Hi Renato,
It's definitively not A15. Can this be the case that NEON units for cortex-A9 support it but isn't documented/recommended ?
And as mentioned before code is working !

[LLVMdev] fmac generation for cortex-a9
Hi Bastien,
Weird gcc is generating fma for my platform STEricsson Novathor with Linaro, code works. It also works when I use LLVM to generate fma (using llc -mtriple=armv7-eabi). Maybe someone from ARM can answer the question ?

[LLVMdev] Use of movupd instead of movapd for x86
Understood for the aligned case, I want to measure performance degradation for unaligned case.
I mean unaligned case versus aligned. I know this is stupid, but I want to try to pass a <4 x float>* as parameter of a routine and at the call site I want to pass a misaligned pointer. Since LLVM is generating movapd instruction it will raise an exception (SEGFAULT), I just want to know if there
