MS executables for my libraries
An executable version 0.6 of my libraries is now available at
www.luc.ac.be/~jlindsey/rcode.html
This works with MS R0.64.2 and appears possibly to work with R65.0.
There is a serious problem with the Fortran compiler as some of the
examples for elliptic and carma crash it. These same examples do not crash
R63.0 with the library executables of Jan 99. I am releasing this anyway
because of the

inverse gaussian random numbers
Dear R-people
Does someone have a routine to ngenerate inverse-gaussian random
numbers. I am thinking of
something similar to rinvgauss, pinvgauss etc. in S-plus.
best regards

Multiplication of Matrices
Hi,
Suppose I have a matrix, A. Is there an easy way to find A^{n}?
I mean, I can do something like:
A %*% A %*% A %*% A
for A^4, but if I want A^{10} it would be kind of annoying...
Cheers,
Kevin

Jim, I am relating your message to R-devel.
This should be discussed in a broader audience;
I am not an expert on GLM's, I know you are
and others on this group also...
R-develers, please CC to Jim Lindsey (on this topic), since he hasn't
been part of the R-devel list for a while..

rmutil
Hello,
I have downloaded the rmutil package in the form of *.tar.gz compressed file
(I would like to use the runge-kutta() function). The package rmutil does
not appear in the list of available packages. Can any one help?

warning about libraries for MS
It is now definitely established that there are problems with library
executables under MS-Windows when compiled as described in
package.readme, at least for Fortran code. In extreme cases, R
crashes, but the result can simply be wrong answers as both Philippe
Lambert and I warned about a year ago, warnings that were blissfully
ignored.
I have not used any other executables for MS from CRAN, and

rmutil parameters for Pareto distribution
In https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_distribution, it is clear what the
parameters are for the pareto distribution: *xmin *the scale parameter and
*a* the shape parameter.
I am using rmutil to generate random deviates from a pareto distribution.
It says in the documentation that the probabilty density of the pareto
distribution

rlaplace using rmutil - HELP
Hi,
I'm using rlaplace distribution to draw non normal random deviates. I'm using rmutil package for this. I know rlaplace needs location and dispersion parameters but I want to pass diag matrix as dispersion parameters and I'm not getting the correct values. Here is my code snippet:
dispersion = c(3,.20,.10)
dispDiag = diag(dispersion)
location = c(0,0,0)
output =
