Bug#305932: rsync on a directory transfers the files of this directory
Hi,
I got the following report from a Debian user, about --files-from
transferring the contents of a dir (i.e. including the files in it)
specified in the input, even thugh the files aren't listed in the input.
This happens only when the dir name ends with a slash. I asked him to
cook up a script to reproduce this (as it wasn't quite clear to me at
first what happened exactly).

ssh command line option processing behaviour
Hi,
usualy, in the unix world, while processing command line options, unix
programs keep the last option value, overriding config file options or
previous command line ones, unfortunately, ssh only keep the first
option processed.
ex. :
ssh -o BatchMode=no -o BatchMode=yes host cmd arg...
the unix common expected behaviour is to have BatchMode = true, while
ssh says BatchMode = false.

MGE-UTALK regression since nut-server-2.2.2
Hi all !
I have communication issues between my station and my old Pulsar EX10 UPS,
(U-Talk) connected by RS232, when using v2.4.1 of nut-server.
I tried to come back to version 2.2.2 and then, communication start and is
operational.
Maybe it's linked to bug 498655, but i haven't seen any answer ?

Reading from a serial device in a com32 module
Hi,
I need to read some data from a specific device communicating through
the serial link.
I am a little confused about the different ways to communicate through
the serial link with the syslinux libc from a com32 module.
There are some functions in syslinux libc to use a serial device, but
they all seem related to a serial console. Is there a way to read from
a com port not related to a serial

Probable bug in "An Introduction to R" (PR#10777)
Both the document and R itself are at 2.6.2 (2008-02-08). When I run in
the Windows R console the command
lines(density(eruptions, bw=0.1))
found in ? 8.2, I get:
Error in plot.xy(xy.coords(x, y), type = type, ...) :
plot.new has not been called yet

Photoshop leaving toolboxes behind
Hi,
I was going to file a bug report for this, but I thought I'd check here
first, because I'm not sure if this is a wine bug, or something to do
with Photoshop or Compiz.
Most times when I close Photoshop CS2, I'm getting the one or more of
the tool pallets left behind on my desktop. I have found no way to get
rid of them - apart from restarting the X server. I tried xkill but it

ssh+rsync to Windows
After doing a lot of reading and search this lists' archieve I'm stuck!
I'm trying to run a seemingly simply rsync from my RH9 box to an XP
desktop. I have rsync 2.5.7 on the RH9 and rsync 2.6.0 on XP with
Cygwin. ssh is working using key authentication. Anonymous rsync to XP
works from RH9. I'm trying to get the rsync to run over ssh. Here's
what I've tried.

Is there a package for wavelets?
The library wavethresh performs 1-d and 2-d wavelet statistics and
transforms.
You can find it in the package sources in http://cran.r-project.org.
Hope this helps.

how to call functions with same name but in different package?
hi everyone .
I am trying to use some packages but there are some functions have the same
name in different package.
for example

dwt(X, filter="la8", n.levels, boundary="periodic")
How can I avoid mixing them up ?

Best package for time series analysis with wavelets???
Hi!!
I'm looking for a package in R for time series analysis using wavelets( I'm
interested on extractingt information from electrocardiograms with the aim
of study the heart rate variability) so i want to know which package is the
best for me. I've thinking about using some of those(you can recommend me
others,xD):

Determining width and height of image files
I''m trying to figure out how to determine the width and height of images
that are uploaded through my app. Either from the posted data or the
file I save to disk. I''ve been searching around for info but no luck;
I''m completely at a loss. Any suggestions or pointers would be great.

wavelet toolbox
Is there a wavelet toolbox in R available that can be compared to the
Matlab toolbox for wavelets. Does this toolbox offer the possibility to
calculated approximations with different wavelets such as Daubechies 2,
Daubechies 3, etc, Symmlet 3, Symmlets 5, etc, Coiflets and so on. I
have tried to proceed in this way but I was only able to use one sort of
wavelets with a pre-fixed order (i.e.

denoising univariate data with wavelets
Hi,
I am interested in a applying wavelets as a smoothing tool for my
(1-dimensional) data. I looked into wavetresh and waveslim packages but
could not quite figure out an obvious way to do this after running dwt or
wt functions. Would someone be able to point me in the right direction on
how to denoise univariate data using one of wavelet packages available in
R?
Thank you very much
