Hi!
We are pleased to announce the availability of Dirmngr version 1.0.3.
Dirmngr is a server for managing and downloading certificate

Still hitting odd problems trying to install R 3.5.2 on Debian amd64 machine
My Emails a week or so back were about installing Rstudio and the R shiny server on Debian. I was using an old Toshiba laptop as a sandbox for that and it would only install i386 (same for Ubuntu). Using the information at https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/ I did get to the point where I had R 3.5.2, Rstudio and the server on there (with some help from Dirk that is in the list archives).

Issues with Ubuntu 22.04 and Installing the Latest Version of R (R 4.4.1) to Docker Image
Lauren, here?s my Dockerfile I use to build r-base from the repos, it builds on both Arm64 (Mac with Apple M2 chip) and Amd64 (AWS m5.4xlarge instance running Ubuntu 24.04). I rebuilt the docker image this morning and it builds fine with R 4.4.1
The last RUN is for installing a bit of custom configuration as well as the base of Bio Conductor.
Hope this helps (I also have a Dockerfile for

samba 3.0.3-5 PDC - share works, domain login not
Hello List!
I just set up a samba3+ldap pdc _almost_ successfully.
If i log into the win2k box and i access \\123.123.123.123\user1
it asks me for my user1 passwd and i can access its home dir.
But i can not log into the domain with the user1. It complains about a wrong
passwd or user at the login prompt.
Could it be that my machine is missing in my user databases?
I did check my machine and it

interpreter change from RW1.7 to RW1.8 reviewed at RW1.9
Dear r-developers,
on January 23rd I reported on this list a dramatic performance loss of R1.8
compared to previous versions. As I did not receive any answer for this
important observation, I try again with some more recent results.
The slowdown happens when manipulating parts of objects in other
environments. This severely impedes Henrik Bengtsons oo extensions and usage
of my package ref. It

R Package: 'ggbreak' in Dockerfile
Hi James,
I just tried fixing my script and added library(BiocManager) before library(ggbreak), then rebuilt the image, and am still getting the same error.
Error in library(ggbreak) : there is no package called 'ggbreak'
Execution halted
I will say that when I ran docker exec docker_container_id R -e "installed.packages()" I get the following:

R Package: 'ggbreak' in Dockerfile
Hi All,
Does anyone have experience successfully installing and loading the R package ?ggbreak? in a Docker container?
I ask because I have successfully used the ?ggbreak? package in a script outside the Docker container (on my local computer), but for some reason, I get the following error message when trying to load it using library(ggbreak) or library(?ggbreak?) inside the same script that
