samba 3.0.3-5 PDC - share works, domain login not
Hello List!
I just set up a samba3+ldap pdc _almost_ successfully.
If i log into the win2k box and i access \\123.123.123.123\user1
it asks me for my user1 passwd and i can access its home dir.
But i can not log into the domain with the user1. It complains about a wrong
passwd or user at the login prompt.
Could it be that my machine is missing in my user databases?
I did check my machine and it

pppd dial-in over asterisk
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I'm sure most people are aware of the ability of pppd to answer calls
coming in from a standard serial modem (or at least that is the way
I
understand it to work), authenticate the user and issue it an IP
address. With the proper ip forwarding/masquerading techniques, this
can serve as a fully functional ISP of sorts. It also offers a nice

interpreter change from RW1.7 to RW1.8 reviewed at RW1.9
Dear r-developers,
on January 23rd I reported on this list a dramatic performance loss of R1.8
compared to previous versions. As I did not receive any answer for this
important observation, I try again with some more recent results.
The slowdown happens when manipulating parts of objects in other
environments. This severely impedes Henrik Bengtsons oo extensions and usage
of my package ref. It

Subsample points for mclust
Hi all!
I have an ordered vector of values. The distribution of these values can
be modeled by a sum of Gaussians.
So I'm using the package 'mclust' to get the Gaussians's parameters for
this 1D distribution. It works very well, but, for input sizes above
100.000 values it starts taking really forever. Unfortunately my dataset
has around 4.6M values...
My question: is it

I have to compile icecast-1.3.11 under Win32, and want to apply the patch of
Li-Kai Liu:
http://www.xiph.org/archives/icecast-dev/0066.html
But I could not find the "win32config.h" file. I installed Subversion to
grab the repository but I didn't find it either.
Does anybody have this file and would like to send me?

Ingress shaping using IMQ
Hello people,
This the first time i post in list.
I read the lartc how-to and decided that IMQ with HTB was the solution to
solve my problem.
The ingress shaping i want is simple, shape the traffic to my ftp-server,
i just want to give 8kbps to each client because they only upload to my
ftp-server, and i dont want to any class borrowing, each client only
send(upload) at 8kbps, not above this
