R installation problems on Linux Mint 18.1 via jessie-cran3
Is there a reason for jessie-cran3 rather than xenial? For Linux Mint 18 (admittedly not 18.1) I have deb https://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu xenial/ as one of the apt entries. [PATCH] builder: proper consider subkeys in index files
The index files already allowed the 'key[subkey]=...' syntax for keys, but considering such string as whole key. Proper split the parsing and the handling of the subkeys, so they can be searched a bit easier. This causes no actual behaviour changes, it is just internal micro-refactoring. (Thanks Rich for the hints, too.) --- builder/index-parser-c.c | 15 +++++++++++----

[PATCH 2/2] lib: allow to walk registry with corrupted blocks
There are some corrupted registry files that have invalid hbin cells but are still readable. This patch makes the following changes: * hivex_open - do not abort with complete failure if we run across a block with invalid size (unless it's the root block). Instead just log the event, and move on. This will allow open hives that have apparent invalid blocks but the ones of potential

Certificates Revocation Lists and Apache...
Hi, already asked in the openssl mailing list, but just in case you already went through this... I need a little help with Certificate Revocation Lists. I did setup client certificates filtering with apache and it seem to work fine so far (used a tutorial on http://www.adone.info/?p=4, down right now). I have a "CA" that is signing a "CA SSL". Then, the "CA SSL" is

[PATCH 05/10] builder: allow signatures from subkeys
When importing a key, read the list of the valid subkeys of it, and use it to check whether a signature was done by one of them. This allows index provides to sign them using a subkey instead of the main key. --- builder/sigchecker.ml | 41 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++------ 1 file changed, 35 insertions(+), 6 deletions(-) diff --git a/builder/sigchecker.ml b/builder/sigchecker.ml index

SMBD panic with INTERNAL ERROR: Signal 6 for ARM 922T
I am trying to get SAMBA to run on a custom ARM 922T compatible micro controller. It does not matter how I try to start smbd (smbd -D -d10 or smbd i -d10) smbd keeps panicking at the same point with an INTERNAL ERROR: Signal 6. I have spent over a day trying to figure out what could be wrong but I am having no success. If someone could at least give me a clue as to what smbd is trying to do at

[PATCH hivex] maint: split long lines
Hi Rich, I find it more readable (and safer to review) to avoid lines longer than 80 columns. When reviewing changes that wrap, I've noticed that it is harder to spot certain types of mistakes in the wrapped portion of a long line. >From 930118b380b35bb33e7719b0eb2ab6b31fa2d7e4 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jim Meyering <meyering at redhat.com> Date: Wed, 13 Apr 2011 16:08:57
