File locking issue
I have a client with an older server that is running into a weird file locking problem. The server is running FC2, samba 3.0.7 and kernel 2.6.10. They have recently installed AutoDesk Revit, which is apparently some sort of collaborative design software. Revit keeps a central repository and then allows different clients to access it. What is happening is that only the person who created the

GLM with binomial distribution: a bug?
I?m trying to run a factorial model with binomial error distribution on R program but I had some problems. I'm quite sure it is a bug and would like to know if it was alread corrected. The output don?t gives me the effects of factors, it mix the names of factors with the names of factor?s levels. For instances: specieserythroxylum ('species? is the name of the factor and

Asterisk not working with session border controller
Hi All My company has bought a license for a session border controller called "Middle". It look like this software acts like a proxy and registers devices to the asterisk. the problem (As per Middle guys) is that "Middle" sends a registration request to the Asterisk asking it to reply to the port 7062, but the Asterisk sends back the packet to the originating port 7060.

GPGee (GnuPG Explorer Extension) version 1.1.1 released
Hello all, I have released version 1.1.1 of GPGee. This is a minor update to 1.1 to answer a couple user requests. Changes are: - Configuration entry added to set the way encryption Key IDs are displayed for subkeys. Encryption subkeys used to be displayed showing their subkey key ID. Now the default is to display the key ID of the parent key. This brings GPGee in line with most other GnuPG

[LLVMdev] nightly tester setup
I've noticed that my nightly tester doesn't seem to be reporting the results of running llvm-test, only build warnings and make check. Checking with -verbose shows that it's running the test suite, so I don't quite understand what's going on. Looking at http://llvm.org/nightlytest/ shows that none of the other Linux testers are reporting test suite results either.

NT 4.0 SP 3 problems serving up from a SUN Sparc 10 running Solar is 2.5
I am having problems logging into my Sparcstation as user "thompsma" even though user thompsma is defined in /etc/passwd and /usr/local/samba/private/smbpasswd using the smbpasswd command. I get the following message: "The account is not authorized to login from this station"... I am attempting to login from CRW048 which is IP 132.225.34.139. Here is my smb.conf file...

64 bit R slower than 32 bit R on Sun Sparc Solaris?
Hello, everyone! I guess no one is still using R on Sun Sparc these days. But our department has a (pretty new) two-CPU Sun server. We recently compiled R as a 64 bit application and expected a performance boost. But it runs 25-30% slower than the 32 bit version of R. Anyone knows why this is so? Thanks! Successfully building 2.3.1 with Sun One Studio 8 on Solaris 9 (SPARC)
I had a hard time building 1.9.1 with the Sun One Studio on Solaris (SPARC) almost 2 years ago. I filed a bug report, but I can't seem to find it right now. For 2.3.1, I discovered that the same problems remain. Here are the tricks that resolved them for me if anyone is interested. #1. /usr/lib/cpp will give you nothing, but headaches. Fortunately, the Solaris Software Companion CD (SSCC)

[LLVMdev] Question about SPARC target status
Slightly off topic, but I am looking to set up a sparc buildbot on one of our sparcs. This won't help with the incompleteness of the backend, but it will at least help keep sparc building. Andrew

[LLVMdev] Compile llvm-gcc-4.2 on sparc-sun-solaris2.10
Thanks. I wonder if we could use .bc file generated by X-86 llvm-gcc to feed SPARC llvm in some cases. -----Original Message----- From: llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu [mailto:llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu] On Behalf Of Nathan Keynes Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2008 5:18 AM To: LLVM Developers Mailing List Subject: Re: [LLVMdev] Compile llvm-gcc-4.2 on sparc-sun-solaris2.10 On 20/06/2008, at 3:22
