outgoing domu network dies after a while
I have a OpenSuse 10.3 with xen 3.1.0 running and it''s been running fine
for a few months.
This past weekend it suddenly started to act up and after some
troubleshooting I can now say that it seems like the guests(domU) loose
the outgoing network pipe, from the console I can see that the TX
counter is stuck at the same value but it''s no errors. It behaves as if

ip conntrack table full
xen-3.0.3-94.el5_4.2
2.6.18-164.6.1.el5xen
RHEL5.4 x86_64
I''ve got a dom0 that does nothing but have a DomU created. The DomU gets
plenty of load. Over time, the dom0''s ipconntrack table fills up but not
the DomU. Once it gets full I can restart iptables and it''s fine.
The strange thing is this only happens on hosts I have provided (hardware
and hosting) from one

which gcc package?
Hello.
I tried to compile a program (plugger), but I don't have *any* sort of
compiler installed. This is on Cent5.3.
So, I used Package Manager, concentrating on gcc. But, it seems that I
have a choice, thus:
gcc-4.1.2-46.el5.i386
gcc-4.1.2-46.el5_4.1.i386
gcc-4.1.2-46.el5_4.2.i386
gcc-c++-4.1.2-46.el5.i386
gcc-c++-4.1.2-46.el5_4.1.i386
gcc-c++-4.1.2-46.el5_4.2.i386

A x86_64 processor can not run a x86_64 HVM
I own an Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+. I enabled SVM extensions on BIOS. I did a power cycle.
xm dmesg shows me:
(XEN) AMD SVM: ASIDs enabled
(XEN) HVM: SVM enabled
I run a 64 bit Xen kernel (OpenSuse 11). Xen version is 3.2.1_16881_04-8.6
I _can not_ run any x86_64 O.S on a HVM domU, because it appears something like this: "your cpu does not support long mode. use a 32bit

VIFs disappear from bridge - 3.0.3 Debian Etch
Hi all,
We''ve been using Xen 3.0.3-1 on Debian Etch for around 2 years now using standard Xen bridging. Over the past few months, we''ve experienced the periodic disappearance of VIF macs from the FDB of the bridge. It seems to happen at random, primarily with domUs that typically receive less network traffic. When the VIF stops responding, the mac address for it still shows up

caused a kernel panic)

Yum provider using version-release as version?
Hi,
I''m using yum as our package provider and having an issue. Puppet is
complaining of the version, this is the code I''m trying to implement:
$snmp_version = "5.3.2.2"
package { "net-snmp": ensure => "${snmp_version}"; }
On the client I got:
debug: //Node[client.example.com]/snmp::base/Package[net-snmp]: Changing

unable to start more than two PVM hosts on one host
Hi,
I am using xen 3.1.0 on opensuse 10.3, for more details see below.
When I try to start the third domU, then this will not work, I get the
error: Error: Boot loader didn''t return any data!
When I shutdown an other one, I can successfully start the machine that
failed, see my log below. The xen configuration files are all similar to
this one:

Unable to create WinXP DomU
Hi,
Since a week or two I can''t create two of my three WinXP DomU''s anymore, the
third one starts just fine.
This is the basic error message I get:

Confused about start of day setup
Hi,
I hope I''m right here. If not then please point me in the right
direction.
My problem in short:
I have problems using (pinning, mmu_update) physical pages from
0x900000 to 0xB1000 usualy.
I''m writing my own little amd64 64bit toy kernel (based on Mini-OS as
starting point) for xen and I run into problems with the way the start
of day sets up the physical pages.
My kernel
