Modifying a netinstall ISO image
I want to make a very minor change to the netinstall ISO image, namely adding a few parameters to the boot line to automatically kick off a kickstart installation. Here is my approach: mount -o loop CentOS-6.2-i386-netinstall.iso /mnt cp -pr /mnt /tmp cd /tmp/mnt vi isolinux/isolinux.cfg # Add some stuff to the default append line and reduce timeout mkisofs -o

Weird netinstall issue
Hi. The other day I burnt a copy of a CentOS 6.4 64 bit netinstall disc, verified the disc which passed & about a third of the way through the install it informed me that there was no CD in the drive & refused to carry on. So I burnt another & the same thing happened. So using the same disk burner & the same batch of disks, I burnt a copy of a Debian 7.1 netinstall & it

Netinstall wants to use wlan0
Hi, Folks -- I'm setting up an Acer Aspire 5250 as a Christmas gift, CentOS 6 netinstall insists on trying to configure wlan0 but I'm using a wired DSL connection, consequently netinstall fails and only offers the option to Retry. How can I get it to bypass the wlan0 idea and go straight to eth0...? Thanks, -- -- Jeff -- <http://www.wellnow.com> "There's nothing

The Centos 6 netinstall iso worked flawlessly on this exact configuration two days ago. The first thing anaconda does after verifying the media is complain that "pane is dead" in the lower left corner. At this point,

6.7 netinstall fails at insert cd to continue
<snip> This it is a very easy process to create an installable usb key: 1. Download the iso file from a mirror. 2. Check the sha256sum with this from the command line: sha256sum <isoname> 3. verify the output is the same as this list (for CentOS-6.7): http://mirror.centos.org/centos-6/6.7/isos/x86_64/sha256sum.txt.asc 4. Find the name of your USB stick, from the command line
