Release Note translation for CentOS 5.3
Hi guys,
are you all still with us on CentOS? Good ...
As you may already have seen Red Hat has released version 5.3 - and
we're busy rebuilding it.
As always we would like to have the Release Notes translated to as many
languages as possible. So if you do not see your language on
<http://wiki.centos.org/Manual/ReleaseNotes/CentOS5.2>
it would be more than fantastic if you would

CentOS at FOSDEM
Hi all,
FOSDEM is coming and it would be nice if CentOS users and developers
are present.
FOSDEM will take place at 24 and 25 february 2007. (so mark those dates in
your calendar!)
I guess what we need is a wiki page about FOSDEM linked from some 'CentOS
events' page and then people can start planning and indicating who's
coming and what the topics could be.

Artwork SIG created
"Computers are useless. They can only give you answers." - Pablo Picasso
The CentOS team is pleased to make computers more useful through the
creation of the Artwork Special Interest Group (SIG). A SIG is a smaller
group within the CentOS project that focuses on a small set of issues,
in order to either create awareness or to focus development along a
specific topic.

Promo SIG or others
Under http://www.braincache.de/centos/CentOS_Styleguide_0.1-draft.pdf
can be my first idea of an Styleguide wich could help to give a line of
usage to some Grafics & design issues also as for Promo Stuff.

Getting rid of the How_Do_I_Become_a_CentOS_developer page
Hi,
I removed the above page before, but I saw Russ added it again. Let me
explain why I think that page needs to die.
It offers little insight to how one can become a developer. What is a
CentOS developer ? That's the first confusing part. The page answers the
question with a: "show competence and things will happen"
We have a much better Contribute page that highlights ways

ArtworkSIG ML request
Good Evening.
I would like to request a mailinglist for the ArtworkSig, where we
could discuss Artwork related stuff. This would be much better than
'flooding' the -docs.

modern-CentOS-1.7-2
Hi,
the layout on wiki-m.centos.org looks pretty convincing to me, now.
Two things:
<http://people.centos.org/~ralph/pagetrail.png> - the pagetrail stuff
isn't readable at all.
I propose the following patch to screen.css:

CentOS wiki/web changes
Hi,
A few things I would like to see fixed in the short term:
+ Simplifying the frontpage. I gave a rationale on my blog why I think
the frontpage should be more simple an structured. You can see the
proposal here:
http://wiki.centos.org/FrontPageProposal
Ralph already criticized that there is too much text and I tend to
agree. I would prefer to see an image instead and

Linuxtag 2009
Cheers.
It is this time of year again: CentOS is going to Linuxtag 2009 (well,
at least we will try to get a booth there). If you want to be part of
the team there, stay tuned for news here in centos-promo at centos.org.
Deadline for the projects is 24th of march (short call!), I will try to
apply sooner than that >:)
Cheers and thanks,
Ralph

Send in your favorite CentOS slogan today
Hi everyone,
The CentOS project is looking for more slogans that may end up on
promotional material (eg media, flyers, posters or stickers). We already
collected a few funny, ironic, sarcastic or even distasteful ones.
Feel free to visit our Slogans wiki page for a good laugh or rude
offenses and add your own slogan by sending them to this thread.
