Rails and Framesets
I''d like to use a frameset to separate the content in an app I''m playing
with into 3 separate panes. A 1/3 page width left pane will be for
general navigation, (so rarely needs reloading). The main content
separates into a top and bottom pane, (with the top pane being set by
the nav pane, and the bottom pane being set by the top pane).
Unfortunately, I''m new to

using HTML frames with rails
Hi:
I''m trying to get a page setup with the left side having a collapsable
javascript menu (built from the database) and the right side having more
data about each node in the tree... very standard actually.
I figured frames would be a good way to go, because as the tree expands
as the user dives further in, the frame will add scroll bars without
disrupting the left hand side.

Hi, All:
Is there a way in R to access a file / web site that requires
permission?
Consider for example the following:

mechanize: 400 Bad Request
Hello,
when trying to access a certain HTML-frame, I get:
"in `request'': Unhandled response (WWW::Mechanize::ResponseCodeError)"
and the page returns: "400 Bad Request"
* Why?
* How to solve this?
With browser, it works.
In the logs below, I marked 4 lines with "***", where I see possible
differences in the URI. But I don''t know, if this is

Just hoping I can get some pointers as I am completely new to Rails and
I have followed some tutorials to makes a database of data that I need,

Thanks!

White space being removed from "Programlisting" elements
Good Morning Mike,
I''m finding that when I load a document, XXE is blindly removing all
"superfluous" white space from "programlisting" elements. This of course is
leading to a real mess (check out the FAQ on the web site :-( ).
What can I do to avoid this?

IE iframe bug with Autocompleter over HTTPS
I ran across an issues using the Autocompleter over HTTPS in IE (6.0

I plan to submit a bug report to the Ruby on Rails trac, but first I''d
like "to discuss this on th[is] Mailing List beforehand, maybe it''s
already known and in the works, or it isn''t a bug" (per

Wiki deuglification Part I
Hey guys,
I toyed around with the Wiki today to deuglify it a little bit. I used a
theme which is a bit of a "CMS" theme for MoinMoin and played around
with the logo colors.
The theme is based on the plsavez theme, which I like as it has a very
uncluttered interface for people who aren't logged in - they only see
some important interwiki links (FrontPage, RecentChanges and so on),

wiki spam
Hello,
I''ve spotted some new pages (probably encrypted) in the wiki:
http://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Special:RecentChanges
I deleted it''s contents but someone might delete the pages at all and check
the user registration logs to block them.
thanks,
André

Hi Chris,
AFAIK every open wiki works like this.
I think we should restrict accounts to people that ask for it in the
mailing list. It won't eliminate

unsubscribing because...
I think it's a sad sign when the mailing list is more about how to
manage access to the wiki than actually managing contributions and the
content. I don't really have any confidence that centos wants a
vibrant community. The recent change list at
http://wiki.centos.org/RecentChanges
isn't really a good sign.
Sorry, but I felt if I simply unsubscribed and disappeared quietly,

Hi.
I'm using the tree package to fit one tree from a training set.
I'm using the command:

DOCTYPE declaration:
I am playing around with the Agile Rails development book again and
thought to see what effect, if any, placing a doctype declaration
at the top of an rhtml file would have. When I insert any of the
three standard forms of such declaration at the top of
app/views/store.rhtml the product image disappears when the web
page is redisplayed. The error logged in log/development.log is:
