Dependency problem between cman and openais with last cman update
Hi. Today I have updated my cluster installation with the version cman-2.0.115-1 through yum update. When I have started the cman service , it fails. If I execute cman_tool debug I get the following error : [CMAN ] CMAN 2.0.115 (built Sep 16 2009 12:28:10) started aisexec: symbol lookup error: /usr/libexec/lcrso/service_cman.lcrso: undefined symbol:

The FLAC website
Max Horn wrote: <snip> > The important bits are others, and they need comments and actions > by Erik and Rich. Ralph maybe? My current understanding is that we intend to keep the web site on flac.sf.net and have a mirror on xiph.org/flac. On flac.sf.net, we probably don't have SSI, so that's a vote for a static site. I am however all in favor of whatever can be done to

CentOS 5.4 is around the corner ...
So this time we we've been a bit faster than during the last two releases (5.3 and 4.8). Which means: We would like you to get working on the fantastic and fabulous CentOS Release Notes again! This time you can find the first stub at http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS5.4 which will change over the next few days - so keep alert! I'd like to thank you for all the work you

Best way to hold at 5.3 release
I need to do some testing with 5.3 as its suggested that 5.4 has "some bugs in the toolchain and libc". That being the case, I can install with a url and repo line pointing to a mirror with 5.3 still but how does one properly make sure during subsequent uses of yum it doesn't attempt to use 5.4 rpms? Is it simple enough to just manually set '$releasever' to 5.3 in the repo

bnx2 losing connectivity
Hoping someone else has seen this before. I have a few dozen Dell R610 systems with CentOS 5.2 that are using kernels from 5.3 and 5.4 (2.6.18-128.1.10.el5 & 2.6.18-164.6.1.el5), that at random lose layer 2 network connectivity either partially or totally. Running tcpdump on the interface reveals only ARP broadcasts, no responses. Switch reports no packets being received on the interface.

CentOS 5.4 and BitTorrent
If I remember correctly, when version 5.3 was released, about 95% was made available by BitTorrent before the official release date, so that the entire file would be available as soon as possible after the release. Could the same be done this time? -- Yves Bellefeuille <yan at storm.ca> "Yves Bellefeuille: Eterna malvenkanto en UEA" -- Heroldo Komunikas, n-ro 389

5.4 DVD
I admit I wasn't following the screaming and yelling about 5.4, so excuse me if this has been answered.... My boss tells me he wants me to start rolling out 5.4. I want to d/l & burn a DVD... but when I looked at a number of mirrors, the .iso is from 1 Oct, while the CD .iso's are from the 14th... yet 5.4 was officially announced the other day. Am I missing something, or do the

Typo on "TipsAndTricks/VncHeadlessInstall" wiki page
Dear all, On the "TipsAndTricks/VncHeadlessInstall" wiki page, the first sentence under "Download ISO" section should be changed from: The first thing you will need is once if the ISO's from the CentOS mirrors. to: The first thing you will need is one of the ISO's from the CentOS mirrors. Torrent tracker for CentOS v5.3 working properly?
Hi, Is the tracker for the 5.3-release working properly? The only torrent I see actually downloading is CentOS-5.3-i386-bin-1to6. The other three for the i386 DVD and ditto for x86_64 (cd+dvd) are just sitting there. The availability and the number of connected peers in the swarm for each torrent is rather high though. Do torrent downloads work from a single tracker at centos.org, or are those

Logrotate in CentOS 5.4 more brutal (to httpd at least) than in 5.3?
I've just updated a few CentOS 5.3 servers to 5.4. One of them were a Apache Webserver. Doing a diff/check on the new ".rpmnew" config files that are made, I saw that the logrotate command for apache was changed. In 5.3 it did a reload, but in 5.4 it does a hard kill: CentOS 5.3: /var/log/httpd/*log { missingok notifempty sharedscripts postrotate

the ongoing wait for centos 5.4
at the risk of picking at that scab a bit longer, i'm going to toss out a comment regarding people still waiting for the public availability of centos 5.4. here: http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2009-October/083743.html we read: "The last status (from twitter) is 2 days old with the '5.4 is baked! centos internal network will start syncing up today. Release ~ soon!'.
