"Graphics history" in UNIX (text only)
Hello. First post, please excuse lack of experience.
I recently switched from MS-Win to Kubuntu and find it rather difficult
to recover Cran-R ease of use.
The "Graphics history" facility available under Windows was, for me,
extremely useful.

Actually, manual typing of the function names to record or review plots
is not a practical solution for me.
I taught it would be a quick task to program Function keys for this purpose.
I uselessly spent time messing with a "<home>.initrc " file.
The only solution I found is to write the functions names, via Bash
menu

Activating Graphics History
I'm having trouble finding documentation on how
to activate the "record graphics history" option via
a command line (as opposed to having to use the menu).
I would like to store a series of graphics. The readme says:
`The History menu allows the recording of plots. When plots have been
recorded they can be reviewed by PgUp and PgDn, saved and replaced.

recordPlot() on non-interactive graphics device?
Hi.
Q. Is there a way to record a plot using grDevices::recordPlot()
without opening an interactive (=visible GUI window) graphics device
(not even for a flash of a second)?
Related: help("recordPlot", package="grDevices") says:
"These functions record and replay the displaylist of the current
graphics device."
Is the intention that recordPlot() should be able to

MCMC
Hi
Does anyone know of any R coding/functions for MCMC approaches? I am
currently using BUGS but I wonder if the bazaar has produced anything? I
think I am pushing BUGS to it's limit and possibly past it at the moment.

fts-solr indexer-worker connects to wrong solr host dovecot-2.2.4

We're setting up fts solr and want to have the solr server host be set per-user via UserDB.
It looks like if a user connects and fts indexes mail, and then another user connects and indexes mail, indexer-worker is connecting to the first user's fts host:
User1, hammer at rp-auth-test.com connects, does a SEARCH for the first time, indexer-worker gets UserDB settings and

R_ParseVector problem: it's cutting off after the decimal point

my aim is to integrate R in an interactive visualisation software
called Bulk Analyzer developed by VrVis (http://www.vrvis.at).

- first Samba AD DC was created by migrating Samba3 NT4 domain to Samba4

Fatal error in SJava.

I have been trying to invoke R from Java in a Windows 2000 computer
(unfortunately). All my environment variables seem to be properly set,

NSD compressing RP content
Hello,
while investigating a report from Jan-Piet Mens (resulting in http://wiki.powerdns.com/trac/changeset/3109), we discovered that NSD (both 3.2.15 and 4.0.0b4) compresses labels in RP content. As far as I can see, this is not allowed by RFC3597 section 4 paragraph 1/2.
PowerDNS Recursor, like Unbound and BIND, now deals with this as 3597 section 4 paragraph 4 says we SHOULD. Nevertheless,

text.rpart for the "class" method doesn't act on label="yprob"

Unable to find a suitable server
Good afternoon you all.
I'm running a redhat enterprise 3.0.
I have manually installed samba-3.0.4 as a pdc.
On a different computer i'm trying to set up a bdc but i get "Unable to find
a suitable server"
Am I missing something?

sample consecutive integers efficiently
Hi all,
I have some rough code to sample consecutive integers with length
according to a vector of lengths
#sample space (representing positions)
pos<-c(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20)
#sample lengths
lengths<-c(2,3,2)
From these two vectors I need a vector of sampled positions.
the sampling is without replacement, making things tough as the sampled
integers need

Hello.
I use Linux 2.0.30(Red Hat) and Samba 1.9.16p.
Clients are Win95, NT Workstations and Servers. I use
Linux like printserver and bridge. And I have problem
with my printer HP LaserJet 4MV with JetDirect card.
It print 1 test page( or another 1 page) and print

generico LDAP access!

Package-level access to Rp->R_Quiet ?
I would like to simulate the effect of the command-line option --quiet from
user-level scripts and startup code. From src/main/CommandLineArgs.c I learn
that Rp->R_Quiet is set, and I see how that is used in main/main.c.
I would use this from code in Rprofile.site. In other words, I want to be
silent when --quiet is used (as e.g. by littler or Rscript) but not by R
itself in normal

A coding question
Dear List:
I have the follow code:
y <- replicate(10,replicate(8,sum(rnorm(rpois(1,5)))))
Now I need to apply the following condition to _every_ randomly generated
Normal number in the code above:
x - max(0,x-15) + max(0,x-90), where x represents the individual Normal
numbers.
In other words, the said condition needs to be applied before
replicate(...(replicate(...(sum(...))) takes place.
