question: how to select a column from a dataframe in a function
Hi, I am creating a function and ran into the problem of selecting a column from a dataset. It seems as though the $ function (as in data$columnname) does not apply in the function. In simplified version: This works: testf2<-function(data,columnnumber){print(data[,columnnumber])} But this doesn't: testf<-function(data,column){print(data$column)} Even though the first solution works,

[LLVMdev] How to read v3.3 dbg metadata using v3.4 LLVM
Hi, I have bitcode files built by LLVM v3.3 and need to process them using v3.4 tools. While I don't expect a lot of backward compatibility in LLVM, luckily it seems everything's working fine, except for reading source line information attached to instructions. I use this piece of code [0] to get source line information. For v3.4, instruction.getMetadata returns NULL. I used llvm-dis to

[LLVMdev] How to read v3.3 dbg metadata using v3.4 LLVM
Thanks Eric, but could you give me a little bit more hints or pointers please? I looked into DebugInfo.h, but I'm still not sure how to start. It sounds like I'd have to somehow manually extract metadata nodes from an instruction. Reverse engineering USB devices
I'm pretty sure this is the wrong list, but maybe some clever people here can redirect me... I have a "RCA RS2100 Bookshelf Audio System" http://www.woot.com/blog/viewentry.aspx?id=2744 This is radio/CD/mp3 player... PLUS it can stream audio wirelessly. You plug a USB device into your PC and you can remote control what gets played from the RS2100 remote control ("Wireless

JDataFrame API
Hi Simon, Thanks for your feedback. -- this is an observation that I wasn't considering when I wrote this mainly because I am, in fact, working with rather small data sets. BTW: There is code there, it's under the bitbucket link -- here's the direct link if you'd still like to look at it: https://bitbucket.org/CoherentLogic/jdataframe Re "for practical purposes is
