pci device not owned by pciback.
So yesterday I got was able to get a domU successfully using a PCI SCSI
card. This morning I restarted the host server. When I try to start up
the same domU I get this error:
Error: pci: improper device assignment specified: pci: 0000:0e:04.0 must
be co-assigned to the same guest with 0000:0e:04.0, but it is not owned

LSI SAS 2008 controller in a pv domu
Hello,
I am trying to pass my LSI SAS 2008 controller to my PV domu (openindiana)
and I can not get it working.
I have read that xen does not support the loading of option ROM''s in pv
domu''s and that this support is being, or will be, added.

This post is more than a year old now.
I am wondering if there is a way to get my LSI SAS

PCI passthrough of cciss HBA
All,
I would like to run the following issue past the list to confirm that my
problem analysis makes sense or whether I missed something:
We have a HP ML370G6 server with VT-x and VT-d enabled in the BIOS. It is
equipped with two Smart Array HBAs - one connected to the HDD array
(SmartArray P800) and one connected to an LTO tape drive (SmartArray
P212). Both controllers use the same driver

This issue was brought up about a year and a half ago. So I''ll bring

I''ve got an infiniband network and am attempting to pass the

I''m working with standard CentOS 5.2 on both guest and host with their

PCI passthrough to domU does not work with XEN 3.3
Hi!
As dom0 I''m running Ubuntu Hardy withe xen 3.3 from backports.
Reason to using xen 3.3 is that I could get Intrepid stock kernel to
work as domu with xen 3.2.
Now the problem I have is that I can''t passthrough PCI-devices to my domu.
If I run lspci in the domu nothing is returned.
I''ve tried to use the kernel from Hardy (2.6.24-21-xen) and stock
kernel from

Hello,
I''m having problems with VTD on this board. The board/cpu/bios all

Any feedback would be much appreciated :)

Is this typical memory usage?
I have xen 3.04 running on SLES10SP1. It''s working great, but I''m
wondering if I have some memory issues with dom0. I have 7 domU''s, 1 is
win2k, the other 6 are win2k3.
I''ve had a lot of machines up and down with a reboot of dom0 in quite a
while. I''m wondering if dom0 has not given up memory during the process.
I added 5 win2k3 domU''s today.

OpenSuse 11 hvm domU: screen resolution up to 640x480
Hello,
I''ve recently installed a hvm domU opensuse 11 guest and I cannot set the screen
resolution higher then 640x480. This seems very strange to me, because
I don''t have
any problem to set higher resolution on a windows 7 domU, using the
following parameters
in the configuration file:
stdvga=1
videoram=16
What could the problem be? Is some video driver missing?

Unable to pass device to IOMMU
Hello,
I''m hoping someone may be able to push us in the right direction. I''m trying
to get one of our products to work with the current branch of Xen
(4.0/4.0.0) but I''m hitting a problem.
We are currently using Xen 3.3.2 on a Sun Blade 600 chassis (with x6270
blades) this works great.
But when we upgrade to Xen 4.0/4.0.1 we get the following message when

Unknown boot option `pciback.hide=(09:04.0)': ignoring
Good morning,
I need to use pciback.hide to hide a pci card because I want to pci
passthrough that card to a domU. My hardware neither supports Intel-Vt-d
nor AMD's IOMMU. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work in Centos 54
anymore. I guess it doesn't work because it is not compiled into the
kernel, but as a module. I got the following error in dmesg and the pci
device is still
