pvhvm on debian
hello, I know this not quite a xen problem but im sure a fair number of people are using debian for their dom0 and maybe have some insight into this. I have a large number of dom0''s running squeeze and for a long time i was hoping for pvhvm to make into the official debian xen packages and recently during some periodic updates I noticed pvhvm working after a kernel package update. Installing s9u8
Hi, I am trying to install s9u8 as a dumU on an snv_111 dom0 using: virt-install --hvm --name s9u8 --ram 512 --vnc \ --os-type=solaris --os-variant=solaris9 \ --network bridge=stub0 \ -f/dev/zvol/dsk/rpool/xvm/guests/s9u8/disk0 \ --cdrom /Images/sol-9-u8-ga-x86-dvd.iso To boot from the iso image, I needed to make a manual selection of the enabled drivers and remove a PCMCIA driver.

Can I use libguestfs to pass some parameters into a KVM virtual machine
Hi, I have installed KVM in my RHEL5.3 box, and created some VMs on it. I am wondering if I can use libguestfs to pass some parameters/files into my VMs. As you may know, for Xen, I can use xenstore command to do this job, can libguestfs do the same thing? What I want to do includes: 1. Modify some configurations in my VM, such as editing /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 to add a static

GPL PV drivers for Windows 0.10.0.50
I''ve just uploaded 0.10.0.50 which fixes a few bugs related to high network load (BSoD''s & packet corruption). It should upgrade any previous 0.10.x.x. Additionally, I''ve also uploaded uninstall_0.9.x.txt (rename it to .bat) which will uninstall 0.9.x drivers. After running that, reboot and they should be gone. Please do a backup first though as I have only tested

GPL PV TAP cow incompatible?
Hi Is it true that the GPLPV drivers is incompatible with QCOW images? The Windows DomU works fine with raw standard "file:/" images, and paravirtualized Linux DomU works fine with QCOW and raw images. If i use QCOW images with my Windows DomU''s i get a stop error: 0x00000007b (inaccessible boot device). It looks like the blkback.3.hda process, that normally starts with

How to get information about the guest filesystems by libguestfs
Hi, I am using guestfish to write some files into guest file system of my KVM domain. As you know, I have to mount guest disk at a position in the filesystem before I write any files into it , e.g.: mount /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / But the problem is how I can get guest filesystem info without login guest. Now I have to power on the KVM domain, login the guest, remember which
