I''m using the SortHelper2 helper to help me sort the columns of these tables, however I''m experiencing a problem whereby if I sort TableA by description and then go ahead and view TableB I get an error message saying SQL Command Failed,

Allowing users to reorder displayed data from a table
I have a list of names and prices from a database to display on a webpage. I would like to allow the user to be able to display those items either alphabetically or by price (decending or ascending.) I would also like the user to be able to list items with a certain price range of their choosing also. How can I do this in Rails? Thanks! -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

table sorting
Ahoy, I checked the API and did some forum searches but didn''t find anything good on table sorting. Is there a "railish" way to do this? My current method really is lacking (i''m on like rails day 2) <th><%= link_to ''Name'', :action => ''list'', :order => ''name'' %></th>

Thanks for the suggestions Trevor. Reformatting in case someone else has problem too: MY COMMENTS are in CAPS to make easier to understand. .*(U said) ..(snips...)... a) I (had) same problem, if I remember correctly, my trusted accounts had names too long (>14 characters) (1) and there was a CAPS issue, make sure all is correct, even if windows forces caps when you're using lowercase.

OK: Here's my question. I am setting up a brand new PDC and network of (ugh) between 20 and 50 win2k clients, and want a samba server. I'd like to be able to set this up so all admin is done on the samba server. Is this where I would use Winbind? Can someone point me to a good tutorial? Windows UIDs
hi all. how does samba create its uids and gids from the windows domain? and what can i do to prevent it 'dropping' these mappings? i've set up windows 2003 sfu to allow samba to map to the uid stored in active directory (by using sfu nis), is this the safest way to ensure folder permissions remain constant or am i being unnecessarily scared? :-) thanks for any tips john

Routing
Hi Everyone, Could someone tell me whether Tinc builds its own routing table to 'hop' between LANs? e.g. LAN A <--> LAN B <--> LAN C Would Tinc resolve a path between LAN A and LAN C automatically (i.e. to hop over LAN B)? Or would I need to setup routing tables for this myself? Thanks very much for any help :-) John _______________________________________________ Join
