Dom0 issues: snv_79b and Tecra M9
Hi all,
I have a Toshiba Tecra M9 and have not been able to boot it dom0. This
is running SXDE 01/08, snv79b.
After booting under kmdb and setting moddebug=80000000 before booting
the Solaris kernel (with help from Dan Mick), I was able to see
mac_ether as the last thing loading, right after loading the e1000g
driver. I cannot drop into kmdb via F1-A after it hangs. I''ve also

udp checksum error with ipcl_tcpconn_cache
Dear All,
recently our customer met some udp checksum error in v40z, we have
done below testing:
Sending: v40z, solaris 10 update 2 with 125121-03 patch
receiving: v40z with solaris 10 update 2 and a PC-server with windows
2 receiving host connect in the same network switch.
in sending v40z, we set ip:dohwcksum=0 in /etc/system.
The sending peer send out packets at about 40M/s, the windows

PAE panic on nv75a / Tecra M2
Attempting to boot xVM dom0 for the first time on a Toshiba Tecra M2
running 75a.
Getting a panic immediately after selecting xVM from the grub menu:
panic[cpu0]/thread=f502c020: Processor does not support PAE
This is a 2000 MHz Pentium-M, which I thought was PAE-capable.

Testing IP Instances in 62 on vmware
The network fails for the zone when i try to setup it with ip-type exclusive.
Its on a vmware server 1.0.2 using a emulated e1000g, this is the only current way i have got to test it with :(
Any ideas on how to find out what the problem is?
Is it that the emulation done by vmware can''t do this?
I think it would be useful for this to work in vmware, as you can add many virtual nics to

B62 AHCI and ZFS
Hardware Supermicro X7DAE (AHCI BIOS) dual Intel Woodcrest processors, 6 x Western Digital Raptor SATA drives.
I have installed b62 running 64 bit succesfully on a PATA drive. The BIOS is configured to access the SATA drives in native mode using hte AHCI Bios.

Help needed with zfs send/receive
Hi folks,
I''m having (as the title suggests) a problem with zfs send/receive.
Command line is like this :
pfexec zfs send -Rp tank/tsm@snapshot | ssh remotehost pfexec zfs recv
-v -F -d tank
This works like a charm as long as the snapshot is small enough.
When it gets too big (meaning somewhere between 17G and 900G), I get
ssh errors (can''t read from remote host).

RealWorld Stats; Not achieving expected results
Hey guys,
We have a brand new Dell Poweredge 1850, Single Proc 3Ghz, 2GB RAM,
15K RPM HD's RAID 1.
We also have a Sangoma 4 port T1/PRI card.
We are not using G729. Everything is G711.
Every call is PRI -> Asterisk G711 -> Sip Carrier
We just filled up 2 PRI's and reached a CPU usage of 70%.
There's no way we can do 4 PRI's worth of traffic. Will a 2nd CPU

Problem achieving manual synchronisation of idmap.ldb and the associated User and Group ID mappings between two Samba 4 AD DCs
I recently went through these steps from the wiki and took the following
notes which I had not yet shared / suggested for the wiki.
(This is from mobile, sorry for the terse message.)
- You need to clear the idmap cache after copying idmap.ldb ("net cache
clear") otherwise you could have stale entries hanging around.
- You need to sync SysVol before running sysvol reset, because

Jonathon and Rowland, are you sure the command you are referring to
here is net cache clear for clearing the cache? I couldnt see this in
the manpage for net cache.
There is a 'net cache flush' command though?

Go on, I give in, what is wrong with the official Samba documentation?
Off the top of my head:
1) Your (ie Samba project) docs are structured a little poorly and
actually pretty hard to follow - eg a single article describes setting
up Samba both with SAMBA_INTERNAL and BIND which is confusing. Two
separate articles, one on each topic would be better!

dedicated vnic IP zone not recieving unicast traffic
Hi Folks,
I have a snv_105 sxce host that I just can''t get to work as expected with crossbow + zones.
My test host persephone, is a virtual machine running under VMware ESXi 3.5, with 2 virtual network cards (e1000), all on the same flat network/subnet.
It started life just 2 days ago with a clean install of snv_95, and I LUed to 105 yesterday.
To rule out any sharing issue, the first
