BSOD when writing from W2003 clients after SP2 has been installed
Hi, We are running a RHEL4 x86_64 server, samba-3.0.25b-1.el4_6.4. The server is running with essentially the same configuration since a year without problems. Due to a hardware failure on the back-end SAN the samba-server was moved to a different machine (same OS, same samba version, same config). At about the same time we deployed SP2 on various W2300 machines (there are in total about 50 W2003

Interdomain trust between Samba and W2003 ADS in native mode
Hi, I try to setup a two-way interdomain trust relationship between Samba 3.2.4 and W2003 ADS in native mode (not mixed-mode). I follow this Samba HOWTO without success: http://us6.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/InterdomainTrusts.html All is working fine if i use a Windows NT4 Server instead of W2003 ADS. Is there something to do on Samba or ADS so that it works ? Security

Here I have samba 3.0.14a (debian/stable) acting as domain member server with home dirs for domain users which are located on the w2003 r2 serwer being domain controler. I have a few problems with this setup, but it is hard to track them. Meybe answer to the question below could help me a bit. Samba once

cygwin rsync performance and bandwidth between two w2003 servers
I have two Windows 2003 Standard Edition Server with 2x 3,0 GHz P4 and 4 GB RAM. On each server rsync runs as cygwin daemon (rsync version 2.6.6; protocol version 29). The two servers are connected through a 2 MBit VPN link. When I sync a single large file or a whole directory, rsync only uses 50% of the available bandwidth. Domain trusts with W2003 and SAMBA 3.0.33 on RHEL
I'm trying to establish a two way non-transitive trust between a W2003 A/D box and our SAMBA domain. We are using smbldap so we can log in on any of the linux boxes with the same passwd. Samba is version 3.0.33 on Redhat Enterprise. It's easy to create the trust on the Windows side with AD Domains and Trusts but on the Linux side I'm not sure if I need to put the machine account
