Paypal donation or Amazon wishlist for core team?
Is there any Paypal donation or Amazon wishlist for rails core team members? I know programming in Ruby & Rails should be reward enough, but its probably not a bad idea to let rails users express their appreciation in this way. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox override
Hi, I have a dovecot 2.3.2.1 instance running here that is getting userdb and passdb data from a SQL database. This was a cyrus server migrated over and all users are happy. All users except one: Said user asked if it would be possible to disable subaddressing (localuser+folder at example.com) again. The setting controlling that is AFAIK the lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox item. My idea was to

Logging is generally done by syslogd, not directly by the process. So no, dovecot is not writing to a file owned by root anymore than postfix is writing to mail.log which is also owned by root.

Tru64 UNIX SIA in 2.5.2p1 is hosed
Something really hosed Digital/Tru64 UNIX SIA support in 2.5.2p1. I haven't been able to figure out what changed in the code, but the symptom seems to be that the TTY name being registered with SIA is truncated to eight characters. This apparently prevents it from matching with entries in the tty database, and the dreaded "Cannot obtain database information on this terminal

Hosed installation
Hello, I seem to have hosed my installation while trying to replace a failed brick. The instructions for replacing the brick with a different host name/IP on the Gluster site are no longer available so I used the instructions from the Redhat Storage class that I attended last week, which assumed the replacement had the same host name.

[OT] Hosed ImageMagick Kills Gruff
This is off-topic because it''s installation specific, but I wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction. I installed ImageMagick and RMagick on my MacBook Pro using Darwin Ports and the normal gem install, respectively. I got the dreaded "bus error." I read Tom Mornini''s discussion about installing GraphicsMagic and then RMagick, so I used port uninstall

This is with an x100p (the motorola chipset) Two problems. Looks like CALLERIDNAME is being used uninitialized. On my other phones the callerid is fine and my buttset shows that the callerid passes the checksum. Hi Updated the firmware on a PERC RAID card as it was out of date and causing a monitoring error - Everything went fine but on the reboot the box now tells me it cant find a valid boot device - I am thinking maybe somehow the boot block on the logical disk is shot. Can anyone advise me on how to rebuild the bootloader on lilo using a rescue CD? thanks

URGENT: libdvdcss install hosed /var [SOLVED]
I found it - there has to be a /var/lib/nfs directory with a few subdirectories under it. Once I had created them all, I could run rpc.statd, and that unfroze everything. Thanks to all, esp. Bill for mentioning rpc - that was the clue for me. mhr

Winbind seems to have hosed my roaming profiles
Winbind seems to have broke my roaming profiles. I have a 3.0.1Pre1 DC on RH AS 3.0 running with Win2000 SP4 clients logging in. Remote profiles worked well and then I added: winbind separator = + idmap uid = 10000-20000 winbind gid = 10000-20000 winbind enum users = yes winbind enum groups = yes template homedir = /home/win2000/%D/%U template shell = /bin/bash Added it to nsswitch.conf and

ldapsam_compat backend hosed in v3.0.2
Hi all, In an attempt to get the old v2.2 Samba behaviour to work, I tried to enable the ldapsam_compat mode in passwd backend. Win2k cannot connect, username and password not accepted. The LDAP logs reveal that Samba is trying to make the following search: (&(&(uid=minfrin)(objectClass=sambaSamAccount))(objectClass=sambaAccount)) This search returns users who have both the old v2.2

PostgreSQL and unit tests
After upgrading to 1.1, I can''t run any unit tests. Apparently when I run rake test_units, it uses a migration to set up the database. Unfortunately when it runs the migration, it''s adding not null constraints to every field, even though I haven''t got that set up. I''m using the ruby-postgres (0.7.1.2005.12.21) adapter with PostgreSQL 8.1.0. I''m
