Oggenc: Bug or feature?
Hi,
I just came across some behaviour in oggenc that I didn't expect and
wondered if this was intentional or not.
I was wanting to encode a Cd which has more than one artist, but several
tracks per artist. The command I entered took the form of:
oggenc -n "%n - %a - %t.ogg" -a artist1 -N 1 -t title1 -N 2 -t title2 -N 3
-t title3 -a artist2 -N 4 -t title4 -N 5 -t title5 -a

rdcomclient issue - member not found when using borders
I wrote a procedure to create a spreadsheet using rdcomclient. It uses a
function to do the writing and runs "correctly" in isolation. It gives
errors, but it continues to completion. The error I receive is "Error:
Member not found". If I place it inside a for loop the loop fails after
the first iteration, once it reaches the error.
Has anyone had experience with this

Not Active Record Model Validation
I have a problem with ruby on rails validation
total_book_toy.rhtml
================
<%= text_field ''book1'', ''title1'' %>
<%= text_field ''book2'', ''title2'' %>
I want to validate these text_field so user can''t insert same title.
However, I was stuck how to do it.
Or maybe you have another way how to do it.

"#" appearing in a quoted string in input causes further input of that line to
be ignored.
Can be cured by escaping (i.e., "\#"), but in big data sets it is onerous to
find.
# should not be "special" inside a quoted string.
Here is a small input file. Read it with

Suggestion for tagging flac w/ cuesheets
Hi,
I'd like to make a simple suggestion for tagging flac files containing
cue-sheets.
As discussed in "cuesheets w/ PERFORMER & TITLE track info" there is no
standard for doing this yet.
The developers were not willing to adopt the integrated cuesheet
functionality for handling performer/artist information. I share this
opionion since that would mean to sacrifice a very

Pairwise T-Tests and Dunnett's Test (possibly using multcomp)
Hello Everyone,
I've been learning to use R in my spare time over the past several months. I've read about 7-8 books on the subject. Lately I've been testing what I've learned by trying to replicate the analyses from some of my SAS books. This helps me make sure I know how to use R properly and also helps me to understand how the two programs are similar and different.

S4 - inheritance changed by order of setClassUnion and setAs()
Andreas,
As far as I can tell (/conjecture), this is because the list of classes a
particular class inherits from directly is appended to as needed, and so
the order that a class extends others isd refined by the order that those
connections are defined.
We can see this with two setClassUnion calls, rather than required setAs:
> setClass("grandma", slots = c(a =

Passing expression as argument to do.call
Dear R-users,
I would like to know how expressions could be passed as arguments to
do.call functions. As illustrated in the short example below,
concatenating lists objects and an expression creates an expression
object, which is not an acceptable argument for do.call. Is there a way
to avoid that?
Thanks you
Sebastien

has and belongs to many different?
Is there such a thing? I am thinking of an application that has
something like this:
1. person has many things - there is a ''persons'' table
2. the things he has are stored in a table that is something like this
person_id, thing_table_name, thing_id
For example, it may map to
person1, books, 23 #Person 1 owns book 23
person1, books, 25 #Person 1 owns book 25

Problems of groups accessing shared directory
Hello,
I have problems with people having different groups who access a shared
directory via samba.
The requirements are:
1. There are people with group "group1" and group "group2" in /etc/passwd
2. 3 people from group "group1" and 2 people from group "group2" are allowed
to access a shared directory and have read/write access to that directory.

has_one self reference
Imagine the following situation:
model Person, with the default name, address, location data.
Person has either one or no superior which in turn is also a Person
model instance.
I would expect something like
has_one :superior, :class_name => "Person"
but where would I place the belongs_to line that goes with it and what
arguments do I need to supply? And what kind of foreign keys

one question about title
Dear,
Thanks for your help. My question is the title can not completely show in the drawing area when the title is too long.
So, I need to change the value of cex.main each time. Could you help me to control the title display area?
Regrad,
ken

Subtitle?
Hi,
Is it possible to add a subtitle that appears directly below the main
title?
I tried the "sub" parameter, but it adds sub-title to the bottom of the
plot.
Cheers,
Kevin

for most stations that have this kind of listener capacity, they are
getting bandwidth from AOL/Nullsoft. Nullsoft had (may still have) a
policy of offering free bandwith to stations they hand-picked. They
were tapping into the rather huge amount of bandwidth that AOL had, and
thus could offer the kind of listener capacity you are seeing.
Alternatively, many stations also operate on
