Rails & PHP
Hi there - I wanted to know if anyone has used Rails & PHP on the same
production server and whether they''ve experienced any problems.
I''m looking to install rails on our production soon, however I would
like to know if there are any issues I need to be aware about.
Many thanks,
Jared.

Log on to Samba 4 AD DC using domain user
Hi, all,
I am having trouble figuring out how to log on to a Samba 4 AD DC using
any AD domain account. Has anyone had success doing this? If so, is
there a guide somewhere?
I have stood up a Samba 4 Active Directory Domain Controller on a Red
Hat 6.3 system, and it appears to be functioning correctly. I have a
Windows 7 workstation, a Windows 2008R2 storage server, and two other

web stats and now playing
Hi once again,
Does anyone have any info on getting such information into a website? If I
can get the "now playing" raw info that would be great. Also, does anyone
know of a directory server for icecast? I checked freshmeat but couldn't
find what I was looking for.
Thanks,
Bryan

It sounds like you've got quite the queue setup (although I don't quite
see why your calls jump out and back into the moh queue). All the of

Improving packets/sec and data rate - v1.0.24
Hi Jared,
I've seen the same while testing on digital ocean, I think it's the context
switching that happens when sending a packet.
I've done some testing with wireguard and that has a lot better performance
but it's still changing quite a lot and only does a subset of what
tinc does so probably not a stable solution.

Samba UNIX permissions problems
I've set up a Samba share to allow Windows machines to connect to a

Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf

Processing section "[Pelena]"
Processing section "[TimeMachine]"
Loaded services file OK.

Improving packets/sec and data rate - v1.0.24
Hi,
Terribly sorry about the duplicated message.
I've completed the upgrade to Tinc 1.0.31 but, have not seen much of a
performance increase. The change looks to be similar to switching to
both aes-256-cbc w/ sha256 (which are now the default so, that makes
sense).
Out tinc.conf is reasonably simple:
Name = $hostname_for_node
Device = /dev/net/tun
PingTimeout = 60
ReplayWindow = 625

Followme() and variables
We have a variable set for each user/peer/whatnot that signals what the
outbound caller-id should be sent as with our carrier.
When someone dials a followme extension, this does not appear to be carried
over for when the calls reach an outside caller, and we see the outbound
caller-id being set as 'asterisk' vs the number desired.
Has anyone else seen this, or found a way to

Possible log rollover mutex problem
It appears that part of the problem could be that when logger rolls over the
mongrel log file. There is a mutex synchronization issue where the various
mongrel instances all try to write to the new log file and block each other.
This keeps them in a continual Application 500 Error state. Has anyone run
into this problem? With log rotation turned off the problem does not appear.
