I''m using kubuntu dapper, so /proc/sys/kernel/hotplug is disabled, and instead udevd is running to get events from kernel and do what is necessary. in my first steps with xen (unstable), I get this error: root@nandemonai:~# xm create myxm Using config file "/etc/xen/myxm". (XEN) (file=memory.c, line=42) Only I/O-capable domains may allocate multi-page extents.
We have seen a series of messages when running xm-test lately on a SLES 9 SP2 32-bit box with 4GB of RAM, PAE enabled Xen build. I don''t know whether this defect of just an informational message. Xenoprof error and missing Xen-syms events
Hello everyone, I''m trying to run Xenoprof (Oprofile 0.9.4) in Gentoo Linux 2.6.21-xen (64 bit) on an AMD 64 system and am facing the following two issues: 1. Xenoprof complains about a write error, but starts and runs anyway. dom0 # opcontrol --start-daemon --active-domains=0 --event=CPU_CLK_UNHALTED:75000::1:1 --vmlinux=/usr/src/linux-2.6.21-xen-dom0/vmlinux

Re: [Xen-users] Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Backend device not found.
I am having the same problem, however on RHEL 2.6.16. I have tried setting up the bridge manually but it does not work. Can someone give some clues on what we should do to solve this problem in RHEL Thanks P. Xen 3.0.3 disk i/o
Hello, I''ve seen from time to time where a domU using heavy disk I/O can slow down an entire server (including all other domU''s and dom0). Is there a way to schedule or limit this in Xen 3.0.3? Thank you, Brian ** _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

[PATCH 0/4] xen: I/O Resource Accountant
Changeset 8460 re-introduced sharing of I/O resources with domains other than dom0 to allow for the creation of driver domains. However, Xen currently lacks accounting of those I/O resources allowing for misconfigurations to give the same resource to multiple domains. When resources are given to driver domains, they must be manually revoked from dom0 in order to ensure that dom0 is not using that

[Xen-API] Frequent I/O error of HTTP server and memory error on XenServer5.6 FP1

Hi,all In the vbd blkback driver(linux/drivers/xen/blkback/blkback.c), when function dispatch_rw_block_io() try to do the real I/O job, it will do a sanity check on I/O request sent from DomU in the following code fragment: ... 430 for (i = 0; i < nseg; i++) { 431 uint32_t flags; 432 433 seg[i].nsec = req->seg[i].last_sect -
