samba 2.2.5 We use an NT PDC for password authentication and an NT WINS server. Both of those systems are on a different subnet. I have setup remote announce = <PDC subnet broadcast< and remote browse sync = <WINS server IP> Do I have to setup the SAMBA server as a master browser? I know with my fileserver i do weekly full backup and daily incremental which would file on those type of files. As of 3.5.0 the ...length() function does exactly what you are asking for. Before that, I don't know of an easy way to get the length without evaluation via R code. There may be one I'm not thinking of though, I haven't needed to do this myself.
