users map with ADS not working
Hi All I am running two instances of samba on same box. One instance of samba has joined AD domain ABC and the other 123. My workstation is on ABC domain and when I try to connect to samba server on ABC domain, it asks me for user name and password and then fails. If I put IP address instead it works. At the same time, when I try to connect to 123 domain, it asks me for user name and password and

Print-to-Fax client
Hi, Does anyone know of a Print-to-Fax client that works with asterisk & spandsp? Astfax is a partial solution but that only lets us email the fax in, we'ld like to set it up so the user can hit the print button and send the fax (even if all it does is email - transparently to the user - the fax to astfax). -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...

real HDD usage of XEN images
Hello, i am creating my XEN VM with virt-install (see below). When I create new images i do first an "df -h" to see if there is still enough space left on the drive. Are the XEN images pre allocated or does XEN only use that space that really is used by the VM inside the image? I know have the Problem that an "du -h" inside my /VM folder gives me nearly a higher number that

[LLVMdev] [Patch] Adding unit tests to LLVM
Hi Talin, I just got around to looking at this. Sorry for the delay. I like the idea of unit tests *A LOT*. Adequate testing has been a major sticking point for LLVM for a long time. In my opinion, once the color of the bike shed is agreed upon ;-), this will be a welcome addition. I have never worked with Google's unit testing infrastucture so I don't know how it works or if its

need help using read.fortran
Hello kind and R-knowledgeable souls! I am trying to use read.fortran to read in old datasets in 80-column-card format with no separators between variables (just 80 columns of solid digits). I comprehend the instructions for specifying the columns for each variable, but I can't understand how to assign the variable names after reading the help pages for read.fortran, read.fwf and

Switchtower for production?
Hello, The company that I work for will be developing a large webbased survey (for a government institution) somewhere in Q1/Q2 of 2006. I''m investigating the technological possibilities and Rails is certainly a candidate. The survey application will have to perform under very high peak load, and the exact specifications of the hardware are not known at this point. I''m assuming

Proxy ARP and RH 7.2
I have tried unsuccessfully to run both Shorewall 1.2.x, 1.3.x with Proxy ARP on a Red Hat 7.2 machine. The machine was configured as the external firewall as per the ''belt and suspenders'' layout given at http://www.skippy.net/linux/firewall/ The firewall appeared to function correctly in all functions except proxy ARP, however I must say I did not test exhaustively. Implementing cross-thread reduction in the AMDGPU backend
Hi all, I've been looking into how to implement the more advanced Shader Model 6 reduction operations in radv (and obviously most of the work would be useful for radeonsi too). They're explained in the spec for GL_AMD_shader_ballot at https://www.khronos.org/registry/OpenGL/extensions/AMD/AMD_shader_ballot.txt, but I'll summarize them here. There are two types of operations:

MacOS parallel::makeCluster fails
Hi all, The call parallel::makeCluster(1L) hangs infinitely on my MacOS machine which seems to be already reported by some people (e.g., https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2018-February/075565.html). However, the solutions posted on SO, GH or R-devel do not work in my case. So far, I unsuccessfully tested ? 1. Couple of reboots 2. Adding 192.0.0.1 to /etc/hosts 3. Using R.app

smartd and 3ware on centos5
Hi, I've CentOS5 box with 3ware RAID controller in it. I can't get the tw_cli command line tool to work, and smartd also barks on me. The tw_cli simply doesn't see the controller, no errors logged anywhere. When starting smartd, it is much more verbose. I'm getting a bunch of messages like this: Oct 9 22:15:15 toporko kernel: program smartd is using a deprecated SCSI ioctl,
