[PATCH] ioemu: cleaning DisplayState->dpy_resize interface
Hi all,
I am attaching a patch that brings the DisplayState dpy_resize interface
back to how it is in qemu mainstream, thus making the code easier to merge.
In order to support sharing the framebuffer, I am adding a new resize
interface called dpy_resize_shared that also has a depth and a pixels
parameters. As a consequence I could remove the dpy_colourdepth callback
and make the code cleaner

[RFC] PVFB: Add refresh period to XenStore parameters?
Hello,
Sometimes the backend of PVFB knows that it doesn''t need permanent
refresh, when the window is minimized for instance (no refresh at all),
or the administration tools know that the window is thumnailed, and so a
slow refresh rate is fine. Also, some users may want to tune the
refresh rate according to the smoothness they would like, balanced with
the CPU time that requires.

PATCH 0/10: Merge PV framebuffer & console into QEMU
The following series of 10 patches is a merge of the xenfb and xenconsoled
functionality into the qemu-dm code. The general approach taken is to have
qemu-dm provide two machine types - one for xen paravirt, the other for
fullyvirt. For compatability the later is the default. The goals overall
are to kill LibVNCServer, remove alot of code duplication and/or parallel
impls of the same concepts, and

[PATCH] ioemu : sdl without OpenGl fix
Hi,
Here is a little patch for a bug introduced recently in the SDL ioemu
rendering, in case we disable OpenGl. Without this patch, the SDL window
just stoppped when there were a call to ds->dpy_setdata, because the
pointer was not set.
Kind regards,
Frédéric Guihéry

Prototype to use QEMU for PV guest framebuffer
As many of us are all too painfully aware we have completely different VNC
server implementations for paravirt vs fullyvirt Xen guests. The former
based on libvncserver, the latter integrated into QEMU. There are many new
and interesting ideas being tried out in the VNC server space in particular
wrt to virtualization and having to implement them all twice is not very
desirable. Also

[PATCH] Update new qemu-dm to spawn vncviewer
This patch does 3 things to the new device model, qemu-dm:
1) Add `vncviewer'' as an option to `qemu-dm'' to spawn a `vncviewer'' process.
2) Have the `vncviewer'' config parameter translate to the `vncviewer'' flag to
`qemu-dm''.
3) Add a new config parameter, `vncconnect'', that spawns a `vncviewer''
process that looks for a

Multiple port support for virtio-console
Hello all,
Here is a new iteration of the patch series that implements a
transport for guest and host communications.
I've tested for compatibility (old qemu & new kernel, new qemu & old
kernel, new qemu & new kernel) and it all works fine*.
There are a few items on my todo list but this works well.
New since last send:
- live migration support**
- write path in the guest

[patch] ffmpeg2theora A/V sync
Hi,
ffmpeg2theora currently assumes that the first frame in the input file
also corresponds to the first audio sample in the input file, which
might not be true for many file formats. I have especially bad problems
with MPEG-TS streams that I recorded via DVB-T (sync off by 0.5 seconds
etc.). Encoding chapter-ranges from DVD might yield similar problems.
The attached patch fixes that, using

[LLVMdev] PowerPC instruction cache invalidation
Hi all,
When you genetate code on PowerPC you need to explicitly invalidate
the instruction cache to force the processor to reread it. In LLVM
there is code to do this for function stubs on Macintosh, but not
for other platforms and not for JITted code generally.
The attached patch adds support for GNU platforms, but I can't figure
out a nice way to call it for all generated code. Can

[patch] more ffmpeg2theora improvements
Hi,
the attached patch (against current SVN) adds three new options to
ffmpeg2theora: --keyint (set keyframe interval) --smoothness (set the
theora_info::sharpness encoding parameter) and --noautosync (disable the
new frame dropping/duplicating code).
It also fixes a bug with the processing of --cropright that sometimes
segfaulted. The sync adjustment code is now tuned to be more reliable.

metadata switches for ffmpeg2theora
Jan,
Here's a hacky patch to add a few commandline options for setting
comment header fields in ffmpeg2theora. It's a bit big because I
virtualized the global info struct in theorautils.c. In retrospect
that probably wasn't necessary, but I think it's cleaner anyway.
I didn't test it because I couldn't compile ffmpeg2theora, but
modulo bugs it should support
